The 6-foot-1, 180-pounder announced on Monday that he planned to take an official visit to Miami on the weekend of June 6-8. The Hurricanes have been all over the rising senior who owns a 4.46 40-yard time.

"They recruiting very hard," Barber told InsideTheU on Monday. "I talked to [Mario] Cristobal on FaceTime. [Kevin] Beard, we hit it off a lot. Then I talked to [executive director of player personnel Trip Carrico]. I just got off the phone with [recruiting assistant Kwincy Hall] a few minutes ago. They staying in contact and they want to get me down."

Barber told InsideTheU that he plans to be in South Florida on March 29 to watch a spring practice.

"Miami is one of the big ones for sure. They definitely one of the ones I can see myself playing at, so I felt like I had to get down there for sure," Barber said.

"Miami is Miami. They have a winning culture for sure and Coach Cristobal is one of the best head coaches in college football. What I like about them is they tell me what I need to hear, not what I want to hear. They keep it real with me. They always keep it real with me. Me and Coach Beard have great talks about the team for sure, about the role on the team I can play for sure," Barber said.

Outside of Miami, Barber is planning official visits to Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Georgia, Alabama, and Texas A&M. Some more spring stops include Georgia Tech, Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia, and Ole Miss.
