Taylor was even more explosive as a RB in high school. Go back and listen to Butch interview he said Taylor was the best back in Florida coming out of high school and that is what made the difference on defense. Remember all of those pick 6 plays Taylor made, Cook can be the same type of player in the secondary.

More than 1 time last season Cook took over games from the secondary. That kid is a program changer and no matter what position he plays he will be a difference maker.

Cook is too good of an athlete to just have him do what hester did. Thoughts on him being the next desmond howard? Do kicks and punts, CB and have some offensive packages (RB, slot, etc.). Just continue being a pure athlete.

Agree that Cook could be an all-american type player in the secondary, but he is special with the ball in his hands and has almost everything you look for in an elite RB. Hard to believe he would come here as anything other than a S.

Hester didn't do what Hester should have done at Miami. That staff was too inept to fully utilize him. Besides returns, he should have been used A LOT more on offense. Gotta get the ball in an athlete's hand like him more often.

I've seen him play several times, and never once did I think "This guy should play defense in college."

He's not very physical and I didn't see great instincts. It's a much different situation than with Duke Johnson, who balled out on defense. If Cook does play defense in college, I think he's a better corner than safety.
