In Rad we trust?Mediocre in 3 major sports doesn’t bode well for us and conference realignment.
Fan attendance at all 3 programs is abysmal. Especially with basketball falling off a cliff. Baseball is a joke.

Correct once again.Reason #25 of y having ur own stadium or being a partner of a stadium is advantageous.
Edit: if u don’t have BR, PSU just received $50m for naming rights of their field.
Correct once again.
I saw some fans whining about this, but it is the way of the world and if they want to compete with Ohio State, then deal with it.
If the Yankees can have a sponsor on their pinstripes, then we can all go that pathway.
I've heard the Canes calling "AT&T time outs" right after gaining "Publix Supermarkets first downs" since I was in college over 30 years ago. Pretty sure we're all numb to the corporate takeover of sports - pro, college, and even high school sports. This is a business, whether fans want to accept this or not. It’s part education, part research, part development, part medical, part athletics. All these departments receive funding, and Department Chairs, Deans, AD’s, Presidents look to maximize dollars by any means.
Despite the misinformation of the media showing $$, most ADs operate in the red with Universities 6/10 bailing them out w/ grants or loans. Athletics help drive applications b/c of exposure, & even if an AD is running in the red, a University will support.
Now w/ new laws entitling student athletes to not only be compensated on a scholarship level, but also as an employee via revenue sharing, as an AD/President it is incumbent to find revenue sources, and create multiple revenue sources.
We’ll see rise in ticket prices, rise in concessions, rise in parking, and a new trend, selling naming rights to corporations for field, scoreboards, boxed seatings for $10’s of millions.
So while we pour champagne (& when I say we I mean the anti stadium folks) bragging about HRS holding tennis & F1 events there, we make **** from any of those events. I’m not even sure how parking work, but in this new landscape we’re constantly behind the 8 ball.
Oh, & LSU just increased their NIL spending by double. Well Rell, how did they do that? They generated $108m in football operations revenue, w/ a $52m+ in black after all expenses paid. $40.7m of that $100+m came from their stadium, with the other $60m coming from media rights & donations. It’s a new day in college athletics, & The Haves r exploiting the **** out of it.

I understand where you're coming from with the money being left on the table since the Canes don't own, or split ownership, on a stadium. Until someone comes up with money for a stadium, we can pretty much shrug our shoulders. Either sell the naming rights for the field (like Bobby Bowden field at Doak Campbell Stadium, but it would be "Coca Cola Field at Hard Rock Stadium" or see if the Canes could buy a part of HRS from Ross. I believe he has sold minority interests in the Dolphins in the past, maybe he wants to do the same with the Canes, but for the stadium instead?
It only matters if the team goes on a roll of being at least a 10 win team year in and year out though. Miami could have its own stadium and I just don't see how they get a deal comparable to these big state schools. Those schools get coverage throughout those whole states while Miami gets the majority of coverage in Miami-Dade, Broward, and PB counties only (and even that is shared with UF and FSU alumni who are everywhere down here).
And btw, are there really people on here bragging about HRS hosting tennis and F1? I could see bragging about HRS hosting the Dolphins, the OB, the NC game, and the SB every few years. It shows the stadium is one of the best in the nation and a great place to watch a ball game. But tennis and F1? Nah, nothing there.
The 2030s the decade of Canes Greatness is near!!!My brother, yes they were bragging about tennis & F1. Lol.
I’ve always said since the likelihood of having our own stadium was moot for a variety of reasons when negotiating w/ Ross, it would’ve been advantageous if we could’ve had a managing partnership. Would’ve been a win/win across the board, but oh well. Maybe in 2033 we can review the terms.
Since it's a privately held stadium, I highly doubt a managing partnership would be offered by Ross (or whoever the owner would be in 2033). He might let the Canes buy in a bit, but I just don't see a "managing" portion, but who knows? My brother, yes they were bragging about tennis & F1. Lol.

Agree .... Ross is "managing the ****" out of that property as is between F1 and Tennis, then a few months of football.Since it's a privately held stadium, I highly doubt a managing partnership would be offered by Ross (or whoever the owner would be in 2033).
