And they'd be smart to. Rutgers and Maryland should barely even be receiving what ACC schools get.

Northestern, Vandy, etc......

Although how smart was Maryland in hind sight?

Crafty little turtles...

Congrats to the
And all for a partial share for the first few years in the ACC. SMH

After seeing what happened to the PAC12, I can't believe there are people who don't think the smaller P2 schools could be on the outside looking in in the future. And it doesn't have to be with the B1G kicking them out. More than likely, it will be with Michigan, OSU, PSU, etc. leaving the B1G, kinda like the PAC12 comprised of WSU and Oregon St. In this case, it would be the B1G comprised of Indiana, Purdue, Rutgers, and Maryland.

They’re not locked into an insurmountable buyout at this point?

From what I've seen online, the B1G has no exit fee and the grant of rights is just through the end of the media deal - 2030.

The SEC has a $45 million exit fee with 2 year notice and the grant of rights is just through the end of their media deal - 2034.

What's to keep some deep pocket TV network over the next 4 or 5 years from swooping in and telling the top 20 "brands" of the B1G and SEC, we're willing to offer you guys $150 million a year per school if you join the Big F'in Money Conference (BFMC)? You just need to dump your current conferences and sign on the bottom line to start play in 2031.

Am I predicting this will happen? No. I'm just saying is it any more far-fetched than if someone told you the PAC12 would be gutted by 2024 in the year 2020? I don't think so.

Do we know when the Pac 2/Mountain West lawsuit over poaching fees will be dealt with? Depending on how that goes, could lead to the end of the Mountain West because Pac-2 plus the Mountain West 5 needs one more football school to get to the minimum of 8 teams by the end of the 2026 season, and I'm not sure if the new PAC-7 is very keen on adding Texas State from the Sun Belt.

Sitting idly and being the GOOD partna got us NOWHERE

Ridiculous the lies we TOLD… we played this like the side CHICK and we got treated like ONE by staying quiet

There's no way to know but based on how long it takes most cases with multiple parties and complex issues, expect it to be measured in years

I guess the fact that Miami was included with FSU, UNC, and Clemson with the ACC brand fund distribution was just a coincidence…

As opposed to how far FSU and Clemson got by suing?

They shot their SHOT… we join them (along with UNC) in the lawsuit, we had a SHOT for real leverage pushing up against the deadline… instead we left the only chance we HAD to pwn the RIVALS. Now there’s no leverage and we are STUCK for this decade in this crap conference

Clearly, my point went over your head but that’s fine. In due time, you will see the bigger picture with these 4 programs and ND.
