Van Dyke said it was a good thing they lost to FSU because they got rid of Manny to get Mario. That's not exactly what you would want to hear from a quarterback if you didn't lose the locker room: that and everything else I mentioned in my OP.

Players usually gush over the incoming coaches in comparison. How did Tyler feel about them when he left for Wisconsin?

Fact is, this constant Diaz demonization to contrast him with Cristobal has gotten ridiculous. Manny came in as a green first time head coach to a school with a questionable AD and very little commitment to football by the school. Mario was an experienced head coach hired for big bucks and a huge budget for staff and NIL with a genuine commitment from the Admins to succeed at the highest level.

Mario's last 3 years against ACC competition: 12-12
Manny's last 3 (including Duke): 16-9
