Well, the pre game show on Fox did a run down on all the conference championships.

"Bear" Fallica was asked if he thought SMU would retain a spot in the CFP if they lose. He says they should and laid out the same argument everyone else has but then added the possibility of them not getting in was alluded to after the rankings were revealed. He pointed out that it was never said during the actual rankings presentation but at the very end of the show when Rece Davis asked the question....

This is setting up to be a HUGE issue if SMU does lose.

SMU isn't going to CFPO if they lose tonight.

The B1G could hold their game in Cleveland with 20 feet of snow and a 50 mph wind coming off Lake Erie and they'd sell it out. The same for the SEC.

The ACC has smaller schools and less avid fans. It's just the way it is.
