Conference Championship Games 12/6-12/7

Players usually gush over the incoming coaches in comparison. How did Tyler feel about them when he left for Wisconsin?

Fact is, this constant Diaz demonization to contrast him with Cristobal has gotten ridiculous. Manny came in as a green first time head coach to a school with a questionable AD and very little commitment to football by the school. Mario was an experienced head coach hired for big bucks and a huge budget for staff and NIL with a genuine commitment from the Admins to succeed at the highest level.

Mario's last 3 years against ACC competition: 12-12
Manny's last 3 (including Duke): 16-9

Yes, we invested now that the playing field is leveled and everyone can pay; most schools have invested heavily, including USC, A&M, Ole ****., etc. It's more competitive now and harder to win. Money doesn't always translate to wins, but Mario proved he could do it in Oregon before the NIL and won 10 games here now. There is an upward trajectory now. It will be hard to keep that intact with the incoming recruiting class and Cam leaving, but I am in wait-and-see mode.

I don't dislike Manny, but he isn't better than Mario and didn't do great here either.

Mario wins the PAC-12 twice: “it was a terrible conference”

Some dude wins a watered down Big 12: “that’s what real coaching does”

Just another day on CIS.
When you think you cooked, but you really burned down the kitchen.
