Concerning Devante Bond's weight

Mr. Bond.

You get to that quarterback so that he's shaken, not stirred, and you can **** well weight whatever you want!

I for one am really anxious to watch you on the field, headhunting, for the U this next season.

And the posters who would dare question your weight are usually the same bicthes that scratch their asses and pick their noses with the same finger.

Based on his highlights, they're going to have to hold this monster out of practice in order to run plays. Just like the old days....can't wait til you're wearing the U Mr. Bond.

Funny that he's reading people's comments

Didn't realize recruits read here. Did any current players browse this site?

There's been a lot of parents that read the boards as well over the years. Its why I still kinda cringe when people needlessly rip apart our players and recruits.

Am I the only one that could give a ****? I'm not one to bash a teenager, but I'm also not one to cup his balls and tell him he's the **** when he hasn't done **** in his career either. As for the parents, they should probably spend more time try to raise a kid who is unlikely to give a **** what is said about him by losers on a message board than reading through this crap themselves. My guess is the kid would probably turn out to be ok. But I guess when your teenage son is your meal ticket in life you nurture the **** out of that seed, no matter how ****ed up your kid turns out.

This recruiting game is definitely reality TV for guys. A train wreck on so many levels, yet I can't look away. I wonder what the long term effect will be on some of these kids that don't pan out. It's very depressing to peak at 17 I would imagine.

I agree. And I don't agree with those that see him as only a 3rd down or pass running specialist. He needs to add a little weight/strength, but for a smaller guy he seems to disengage from tackles pretty well. IMHO he's a good bit underrated.

And this high praise is coming from a fully vetted and WEZ-certified sf badass that used to eat Viet Cong for breakfast.

If Bond Commit .....

Bond will have the best PASS RUSHING moves on the team...

Inside-out
speed rush around the corner..
and he see the ball well.

Strawman, nobody´s talking about cupping his balls. They´re talking about not needlessly ripping him for not being a 100% Canes fan from the get go.

He comes with 2 years to play?

Might be more than just "depth." When I saw his video, I thought he could rush off the edge the way no DE we have now can do, at least not the guys with experience (I don't know about our younger guys, like McCord). I don't know if we're going to use him DE, or OLB in a 3-4, or both. I guess he's a hybrid, but he'd help us immediately with pass rush. Hooks, I think, could be a very effective inside pass rusher. This is the kind of help we need on defense.

I'm one of the people who said 230 seemed light. I like his tape, and I think he's a good football player. If he's coming in as a junior, he needs to be ready to start right away.

It's different from a freshman who comes in underweight who might redshirt or only play a few snaps.

I'm glad he's saying he's focusing on lifting and getting ready for his first season season playing D1 football. He's doing the right thing. Good luck to him and hope he picks the Canes, we need him!
