Complete rebuild

I don’t disagree. I was more speaking to the gameday aspect of it. You hire a guy like Lucas expecting him to get talent. Obviously his abilities on the court running and managing a game are the major question. Adding a guy who’s done that, especially at this level is key. How to manage tos, when is it time to pull a guy in foul trouble, when do you put him back in, things that experienced coaches have done.
Talent acquisition isn't nearly the big deal that it once was. If you are committed to spending enough, you should be able to get enough talent. If reports are to be believed, Miami has made that commitment. The issue is whether a first time HC, with no experience outside of the blueblood bubble can get the most out of said talent, or has the experience to navigate the pitfalls that comes with having a high cost roster.

In case anyone is under any illusion many schools wont have both huge nil budgets and elite coaching vs just one or the other as some here would have you believe

You can have both, provided everyone is committed. Miami isn't. We aren't committed as an athletic department. I don't believe that this AD and the donor pool are truly committed to building a world class, competitive athletic department. I think they are fine if Mario figures it out and wins big, everything else can be pure crap for all they care.
