I guess, from a marketing perspective, if you had a big commitment, makes sense you would time the public release of that commitment to happen towards the end of your bye week when you would otherwise not be in the news cycle?

I think he really wanted the Denver HC job since he was a ball boy there and a fan. Denver didn’t have any interest though. So maybe he wanted to show them they made a mistake? Also the Fangio dynamic too. Their if talk about Wilson being hated in that locker room too. Seems like a pretty bad situation all around in Denver right now.

Ahhh, that sheds some light on things. It does seem like Russ is not a well liked dude but who knows.
