Collins Acheampong flips to Miami

How’d you feel when we first hired him and he was laying out his vision? I was ready to run through a wall. I knew he’d get it done one way or the other, and he seemed as genuine as they come.

Guessing that plus NIL is a pretty strong sell.
Reading Acheampongs comments about his reason for committing shows how important it is for a new coach to have his own guys. Some of the guys on the current players on the roster may buy in or whatever but they aren't playing for mario like that.

No ****.

There’s weeks to go before ESD and we have 20 kids in the class. It’s pretty obvious “there’s more to come”.

So we’re going to play this game where we just all act like each of us has the scoop on player x or player y or player z until we get one of them and everyone screams “see told you we weren’t done yet”.

I’ve seen “stay tuned” or “wash the spinach” literally EVERY SINGLE YEAR.

It’s cool, I’ll play along.

Dude I’m sooo stoked for the big surprise y’all aren’t going to believe it. We did it y’all, Moore ****ey Innis Hick on top of the Hill please

Well from what you said, it really didn’t seem like you did ! You seemed bummed that we just stole a four-star form Michigan so I didn’t know what the **** you were thinking! Just seemed like you were *****in

I know. He’s a really good player.

But it’s not a shocker, he was already hyped and expected to commit to us once this cycle and that fell through last minute.

He’s not a top 100 player, **** he probably got dropped by Michigan.

I’m glad to have him, but if someone bought in to the hype around here lately, and especially today, I can see why Colin ping pong is a disappointment.
Jesus, I'd be willing to bet your ole lady isn't faithful.

I'll take it lol. I was expecting bigger fish to be honest.

If it isn't a 5 star top 3 talent, it's trash. That's what we are going with it now? I'm convinced a lot of our fans just live to be miserable. This young man has a ton of talent, at a position of need and people are acting like he's some preferred walk on announcing.

Mich so hurt by this i love it!
“No fans”
“Dumpster fire”

Like their coach isn’t 13 months removed from being fired if he didn’t beat OSU and MSU.

Like their coach isn’t 17ish months removed from restructuring his contract to take less money or get fired.
Like their HC isn't flirting with the NFL right now...

I’ve **** on Mario a lot this year for good reason

But one thing I’m sure of is that he is going to execute his plan and his vision

Some coaches can’t do that because they don’t have the confidence to see it through and can be pushed off of what they believe in by others

He just doesn’t strike me as that type of guy. Now whether that plan means championships I have no clue, but he’s an alpha for sure, and part of why he’s such a great recruiter. Dude knows what he wants and how to get it.

Bags, location, and immediate PT would be my guess
You really think Ruiz is able to outrecruit MICHIGAN on bags? Really?

I can't with this fanbase. Mario is likely selling these recruits what guys like Howard and Butch sold. The ability to be part of something special, to be part of a build, instead of a cog in a machine. Does having a booster like Ruiz, that can at least provide something of value to these kids help? Yes, but we need to stop buying into the flawed premise that the only reason a kid would want to come to Miami is for money.

Any Michigan come for me they getn blocked. I got no smokez except deal with it like we dealing with Gattis
