I just now noticed we could have an all SEC-ACC CWS. I doubt that's ever been the case for any two conferences dominating the landscape like that.

Ha yea I also saw that yesterday. Told my wife they should rename the CWS this year to the ACC/SEC challenge.

But would need Louisville, TAMU and Vandy to all finish out their series to make that happen. As much as I enjoy watching FSU lose would have been neat to see 4 ACC vs 4 SEC teams.

I hadn't seen a vegas line on the game yet but it sure won't be -700. I'd guess UF -140 to -160 can't imagine it's much higher than -200. When we played them in Gville earlier in the season I don't think any of the 3 games were -200. Actually I'm not sure we had a single game all season where we were that big of dogs.
 
The more I look at it, the more I believe that you can't really use this year's series in Gainesville as a barometer either way to think they're the favorite over us, or vice-versa. That was late February. Both teams have grown, improved, and have different pieces contributing than they did back then.

I mean--neither team's ace threw Game 1 of that series...Suarez was a late scratch, and Logan Shore was pulled after 10 pitches due to a hamstring or a groin injury. Both their lineup and ours are way different today than back then.

All I know is that it's two **** good teams who have a rivalry, and they're going to play what should be one helluva ballgame in Omaha. One could argue that Florida has played better competition so far in the postseason, looking dominant in their wins, and should be the pick, but that might not matter at all. They could come out flat.

Did they ever adjust the cavernous new stadium in Omaha? if not, that may go a long way in minimizing UF's big bats.

Just looking at the bracket. Our side is completely winnable and easily much easier path. To get to the final we need to beat UF, Virg, Ark. From a talent standpoint id say only UF is as talented as we are. Virg a team we've seen and beat. Arkansas bats have been hot but in a slugfest advantage Canes. Meanwhile other side is bracket of death. Vandy, LSU, and possibly TCU/Lville. WOW.

I agree the rest of the bracket is winable, but Florida is going to be tough. Their ace is sharp and their bats are solid. And they play better defense than us. This really is a marquis rivalry matchup. Hoping for one for the ages.

1st game is so so key. We got Suarez to matchup with there Ace. We got to grind out a win there.
 
Gotta beat the Gatas Saturday. Can't lose, then have to beat UVA and Arkansas, THEN twice in a row over UF.

Bet the farm, the winner of the UF/Canes opener is in the CWS Finals.

Sucks they don't re-seed. :(

LMAO....I was with you. Watching those ****y *** ******** taunt the CSF dug out and running around screaming made me sick. Loved seeing them blow it....especially punk *** Zack Lucas and Josh Rogers. Not saying they aren't solid ball players, but at least Rogers should have been given the heave ho for being a punk *****.
