Coley's burden

Sorry, I know it's a slow time, spring practice is history and summer camp is still a ways off. But take some simple advice: step outside, take the dog for a walk, enjoy the fresh air and stay away from a computer. This kind of stuff is gibberish, mindless speculation.


And there is a growing belief that Kevin Olsen is not the guy . . . Coley brought in two smart, strong-armed kids in Brad Kaaya and Malik Rosier to fix the problem. My educated guess is that one of them will start. There will be growing pains. I just hope Coach Golden shows as much patience with Coley as he has shown with other assistant coaches.

Trinidad Brad will start. I will be surprised if he doesn't. Kaaya is really good. Just the speed of the game is the adjustment, but that's fine. Miami will run the ball like crazy, & throw numerous screens, play actions, & reverses to Stacy Coley Phillip dorsett and herb waters (They all run at least a 4.40 40time). I'm more worried about DLine

Nice write-up, I disagree on a few levels. Time will tell on Olsen. I'm pulling for the young man. However, let the best man win come august!!!

Also, with all due respect, D-money you were pushing Stephen as a top qb. with that, i thought he would be as well. Not sure if it was coaching or the player. I want to take a wait and see. Again, may the best win, we still should have a good season!!! Don't need the qb to "lead" us, just manage the stable we have.

Coley needs to recognize the youth and inexperience we are going to have at QB and commit to running the **** football and allow our huge OL to try and take over games. This offense will go as far as Duke, Yearby and Gus can take it. Hopefully we can use the running game to opne things up for S. Coley on the outside and our young QB's can hit some passes.

Coley dumbed down the playbook a lot for snickers, even then he still lookes downfield too much when there were underneath routes open, coley has only been here one year, some of you need to cool down on the "he needs to go" stuff, the most important player on his side of the ball was an idiot

About this being a burden its really not that much of one, i get he doesnt have his guy behind center, but he has a lot of talent on that side of the ball, a lot of those guys will be in the league next year, just the only thing that does suck for him is that we will still see a dumbed down playbook next year bcs we will have a freshman behind center, lets just hope whoever it is knows what a checkdown is

Lastly i havent given up on olsen, he can drink, party, crash his car into trees all he wants as long as he plays well on the field is all i care about, which i think he can

Even assuming Olsen loses the QB battle, we don't want him to transfer anytime soon. You have to have depth, and as bad as redshirt freshman being your #2, a true freshman #2 is worse.
 
Really…. So this team was burdened with poor talent and it fell on the entire staff. Now Williams goes down and it's Coley's "Burden". Who else gets a pass this season if we lose Duke again? Deon or DP gets hurt… Coach D? I'm pretty sure Coley was here last year. lol This staff has to perform at the QB spot this season. I don't care if Peter is the QB. They have known what they had since jump. If they didn't know that they were one deep at the position, shame on them. They didn't get a transfer for depth like they did when Al first arrived. They obviously thought JAG's at other positions were a greater priority. Sorry man, but if a guy is banking a HALF A MILLION DOLLARS to be the OC and can't see the forest through the trees at the most important position on the field, it's not a burden. It's a giant fail. He must get it right. MUST this season. NOW NOT JUST COLEY BUT ALL OF THEM.



If Olsen is a success, do we not give Coley credit? Seems legit?

WTH is the "big 5"? Does anyone not a fan of UCF or USF put them in a grouping with UM, FSU, and UF? UM has sucked for virtually the last decade, but we still have 5 national titles. There is no big 5.

Lol, kid is a RS freshman that hasn't played one down of college football yet. Off-season board is retarded.

I believe he is referring to the big 5 conferences. Big 12, Big 10, SEC, ACC, PAC
