Coley said he is learning the playbook so there is no "double learning" and that he has "all the time in the world" to learn the playbook. Now tell me Golden didn't bring in Fisch to design a playbook for the Canes! You have Coley himself telling you he's learning the "Canes" playbook...

its probably a case of learning the verbage that golden wants to use as to not confuse the kids who have already been learning under his system.

It might be Goldens offense but I hope he adds some more diversity to the run plays so they aren't that predictable.

Would still expect Coley to add his own stuff as well.

That's a leap in logic?

No, just the Legend of Fisch.

Pretty sure I've responded to all of these topics by saying one phrase: "The Legend of Jedd Fisch grows."

To say that Coley will bring nothing to the playbook and call only Fisch's playbook is silly. However, when Fisch was first brought in he mentioned several times that the playbook he was implementing was the Miami Hurricanes playbook. Not his, not another NFL teams. This leads me to believe that we do in fact have a playbook that is set in stone as far as the base and the verbage.

It is easier for an OC to come in and learn the playbook then to expect 43 guys to learn your (OC) playbook in such limiting practice times.

If any of you were at BWW on signing day you heard Coley mention how his offense is going to be multiple. We will spread out wide and line up tight and everything in between. Where have I heard that from? Oh yea, we have been hearing that the last two years.

It makes perfect sense from a continuity stand point to bring in a OC with the same philosophy as the head coach and have the OC adjust to the teams playbook rather than the other way around.

So while I don't believe this is Jedd Fisch's playbook nor is he a mastermind offensive guru, I believe he set the foundation of what our playbook is and now every subsequent coordinator will add his own touch to it but the base and verbiage remains the same.

Once proven wrong you just keep trolling huh? Notice how even your boy Chise isn't touching this thread? Both of you clowns piled on and when the truth comes out poof, gone, like a fart in the wind. Like I said, Fisch designed playbooks for NFL franchises and was brought in to design a playbook for Golden and the Canes. Coley is learning that playbook and will add to it based on new talent and such. That's how competent head coaches operate. It's easier for a coach with a high football IQ like Coley to learn the playbook than have the entire offensive roster have to learn a new system. DUH....

How do you make the leap from this

As Lu said, you are making a huge logical leap but don't let that get in the way.

The answer lies somewhere in the middle. We aren't going to be running the "Jedd Fisch offense" and we aren't going to be running the "Coley offense". The terminology will remain the same, as to smooth the transition for the players and I'm sure that Coley will implement some new concepts, which won't be difficult because even Jedd would have put some new stuff in for this year.

This isn't about Fisch as much as it's about Golden and the players. Golden wants to implement a system. Golden is program building in the same fashion that Paterno, Coach K, or Dean Smith did and he also wants to minimize the possibility of having the players over-thinking, especially in a year where he thinks he can win big.

Now it's a leap? GTFOOH! Listen to the Coley interview where he says he's getting up to speed with the playbook. Fisch designed a playbook for Golden. You can choose to believe it or not.

So much for Coley bringing in his playbook...

Just because he is getting up to speed with the playbook doesn't mean that Golden brought Fisch in to design a playbook. There are plenty of other reasons that Coley may be learning the playbook, other than your assumption. If you can't/don't see that, then I don't know what to tell you.

No, the answer doesn't lie somewhere in the middle. Coley will be running the Golden offense that was designed by Fisch. Coley said as much in his interview. Now we don't believe the truth straight from the OC himself? LOL!

This isn't an opinion based on zero facts. Coley himself said it????

Could you explain why you are on this crusade? To be honest, you've been at it forever and it's grown tiresome. I essentially just agreed with you and you're shaking your fist at the sky.

Relax my *****.
