COI wants to shut Miami up

Nah. Public sentiment is now fully in our favor. Read the article.

If the COI has brain one, as Tex likes to say, we get time served.

NCAA wants Miami to shut up, even though only 2 statements have come out officially from Miami since the NOA? Alrighty then.

How many leaks came from the NCAA office during this whole investigation?

Reading comprehension isn't hard. The NCAA screwed up again by trying to invoke a gag rule rarely used. Why? They want the bad publicity to stop and stop now. The NCAA as an organization is at stake.

There is nothing in that article to support your notion. The COI, like the NCAA as a whole, are scrambling to save face right now. Public opinion is destroying them day by day - Miami is in as a good a position as could be expected. Now if the COI comes out with some b/s sanctions, that will be another story.

The NCAA is fearing it's own end is near. They want all the negative press to stop so they can proceed with *** raping us like they planned all along.

So glad he threw this in: "What you forgot in the last few months is that Miami is guilty on some yet-to-be determined level in the Nevin Shapiro case. Guilty as ****, in fact.".
At least he said "on some yet to be determined level".

What he should have added to that sentence, rather than as a throw-away line later in the article, was "and has already self-imposed some of the harshest penalties in NCAA history, in addition to having to put up with two and half years of cluster****ery from Emmert and his cronies..."

Gagging UM now, after everything is already as bad as it is, makes it worse as the public already knows. These people are stupid as ****.

they coulda put a stop to it all by announcing that they had ****ed up the investigation and the case was over. end of story

they didnt do that and we should hope that the media **** storm continues and the university should pile on whenever possible. **** the NCAA.

unfortunately this will die down by June and everyone will have forgotten in our short attention span day and age

I know that's what we feel should happen, but really that wouldn't end things. There would be lots of screaming that the NCAA is toothless and let UM go free for being absolutely corrupt, and the poster child for cheating. That's clearly not true - cough, cough SEC -, but the media would jump all over that. We're only getting some sympathy now because the NCAA has ****ed up so badly. Even with that national media members aren't exactly coming out of da woodwerks to trumpet how bs the majority of the accusations were, or to make clear what little of that was actually found to be true.

Dodd just can't help being a d!ck. **** him.

Dudes, set aside the beer money and take a reading comprehension course. This is all good! Dodd is hammering the NCAA with haymakers as he tries to explain that, while Miami has it's issues to deal with, it is now the NCAA that finds itself on trial. And the public perception from all corners, as might be expected, is awful. Just sit back and hope that Dodd and others continue to raise every little NCAA misstep. It's a beautiful thing.
