I have no idea how anyone outside of the film room and/or practices can judge the job of coaches who aren't coordinators.

I agree with this in the short term. But you can definitely get an idea of which coaches are legit by watching the pups develop over 3-4 year time frame. This freshman class is performing almost purely on athleticism right now. 2 years from now, we will have a very good idea of which coaches developed there players and who didn't.

Quick question, how does our passing game being 2nd in the NCAA in drops get McDonald at the top of these lists? Since as Lu said you really have no way to judge these guys realistically; if we are going to look at on the field production, how is this forgotten (and of course I know a coach can't catch the ball for these guys, I am just really making the point the unit has underperformed too).
