It seems likely that IU will hire someone with head coaching experience. Kellen DeBoer made Tom Allen a very wealthy man and I can see the wisdom of hiring from his tree, but the only success IU has had in football has come from hiring coaches with head coaching experience. I believe this is not lost on their AD.

Wommack was the DC on those Allen/Deboer teams. Think he is top choice.

Northwestern. SOS was 61 and there are 70 P5 teams. I didn’t see many P5 teams below them. The B1G West was a joke as evidenced by Iowa running away with it. Miami was 30 or 31 I believe.
