I think the academics limit too much of what a guy like Deion could do in a place like that.

I think a coach like Doc Holliday would do well at FAU. He is a good recruiter of state of Florida and had some good coaches at Marshall.

It’s a “I need to strike the iron while it’s still hot” move. He knows he can’t sit around forever at Cincy waiting for the perfect opportunity to come available.

Wisconsin has proven to be a stable program for winning/resume building and he can likely parlay it into a bigger job in 2 to 3 seasons.

I'm not certain there could be a worse fit culture-wise than Prime to GT.

Why stop there? Prime to Stanford. Prime to Northwestern. Prime to Duke. Prime to UVA.

I feel like several wanted him but he never expressed interest back. He was one of the hottest names in coaching for like 2 or 3 years.

I’m not a GT fan so idgaf. But if they have a chance to hire Deion and they pass it up to hire Fritz (I’m aware he’s not a bad coach) because Fritz is a “culture fit” then I’d be hella ****ed as a fan.

It’s a different time. David Shaw out. Geoff out. Pat Fitzgerald is toasted. If they’re not going to let whatever coach that comes in recruit locally then they’ll be right back here in 3 years.
