But but but Notre Dame has an unlimited football budget and Marcus Freeman is a genius!

The fact that Tommy Rees was already at minimum exploring options to get out of there (and it wasn't for leverage to get more money there as he just signed an extension like 2 months ago) and then this theoretical first "big" hire for Freeman is getting my hopes up for some prolonged misery in South Bend.
