No one has accepted mediocrity. We're just trying to point out that someone has to leave the staff because of NCAA limitations on the number of coaches that are allowed on the recruiting trail....got it?
 
Randy is not a top notch recruiter. Can randy recruit dade? Sure. Anywhere else? Not really.

It all starts with Dade, though. We can have a recruiter to help lock down Sofl and also have coaches that can recruit nationally. 1 coach doesn't need to do it all especially with 9 of them.

Randy shannon couldnt even "lock down" dad when he was the head coach at Um.

I said help. Of course he can't do it all by himself but something needs to happen quick because elite recruits are leaving the area at an alarming rate.
 
Getting Randy back would be huge as he would be co defensive coordinator and linebackers coach. What a team him and Many would be.

some of you people are clueless. my friend played under shannon when he was DC. he said Randy hated recruiting. His thing was to just offer whole teams like northwestern or Booker T so he didnt have to get out there and recruit. Did u see the lack of balance his classes had? stop it already.

i dont think randy was a bad dc or lb. his problem was he spent alot of time under HC who was clueless. Anyone around the program will tell you coker was a head coach in name only and his position coaches ran the show. Randy's other problems as a HC was how he hated recruiting and he wasnt a players coach like soldinger (i meant don wasnt a players coach either. they was cold guys). he was old school self motivated who couldnt break through to alot of kids. im sure he has learned because he was not a dumb guy. i think his time at UF under a real HC helps him.

I can Agree with this . He's the ones who is making it hard for Donaldson and Henderson at uf . Wonder if he was Davis recruiter
