This week. He was on Joe Rose' show when he said it. I don't think that this kid is going to get the spot from Flowers. He has missed too many practices.

Feel bad for the kid having to go to another funeral, but agree, he may not get his spot back.
 
There have been six or so practices. He has missed the full contact ones (3?) & one scrimmage so far. Lets not jump the gun. If he is the better tackle he will get his spot back at some point.
 
Some guys just can't get it all together. Obviously a lot of this is beyond his control, but my money is he has a "so-so" season and bolts. Then we'll all look back and talk about how he never played up to his talent here.

For the week??!! Unless its his mom, dad, sister or brother, fly up and fly back. 1 1/2 days. Back on the practice field. This kid needs to spend more time with Mike James.

The moment I heard this, and before I heard Seantrel was leaving for another funeral it sounded obvious Henderson would have a tough time getting the starting job back. And Golden went out of his way to praise Jermaine Johnson's work too when asked about Henderson, Flowers, and the RT position. It was obvious from the interview that Golden's not afraid to run with the guys that are playing now at the position.
 
These kids have lives beyond football man relax

Flowers is good but WILL make freshman mistakes and Seantrell will jump in no problem

can't get right. kid will always find excuses some legit/not so to avoid being a gamer. kid probably wants to ball out on saturdays, but not so sure he wants to put in the work to do so. god given talent only goes so far...

Such drama with this kid. I feel for him on one side, but I really don't on another. He's got to decide if his career is important or if going to another funeral is important.... Unless it's his Mom, dad or an immediate sibling, he needs to stay in CG.
 
I would not be surprised if Henderson doesn't even come back. Maybe a transfer to North Dakota or North Dakota State would be in his best interest.
 
Sucks for Seantrel, a close relative and friend passes, and finally when he tries going forward, he has to attend another funeral, my heart goes out to him, some of you can sadly only see the number of practices he's missing rather than sympathizing with the young man during these difficult times.
