I knew Corey Smith at Doral when I was learning under some of their defensive coaches and coached a few of his Gwen Cherry kids in flag.

I didn't know him outside of football but he was a good man to those kids and was a nice, personable guy who always had a smile on his face, always laughing. Very positive guy.

Terrible way to go out.

****, the **** that nephew has gone through and the mother. Kid loses his father and is there when his uncle is gunned down, tragic. Streets are tough, but nobody deserves that. My oldest younger brother just sent me a picture today of the middle child of the younger three on a corner today. He's been through prison, not a thing we've done in 15 years has helped and it's like he wants to go out this way, homeless with **** to his name. Dread the day he leaves and my mother has to deal with this. No mother should, not two times like Corey's mom.
