Coach Coley

This offense had 324 yards passing, wouldve been more if Walford and Herb couldve held on to the balls they dropped.

The running game couldnt get going b/c the defense couldnt get off the field and allowed VT to continue to increase the deficit.

James Coley is in his 1st year, he has more reasonable excuses then Coach D'onofrio.

Coley has no excuse really.

He has the best unit of the 2, and it isn't even close.

A veteran OL, that was suppose to be one of the best in the country.

A veteran QB, that was suppose to be one of the best in the country.

Prior to Duke going down. One of the best in the country.

A great core of WR.

Yet, his unit has squeaked by every week to score points.

The defense is hot trash, because of the scheme, and the talent that it has. Yet even with what talent it does have. It should be playing better than what it is.

No you dont know football really so you cant tell that this terrible defense has hurt this offense that's why you've been one of the ppl on here pointing the majority of the blame for this teams problems on the wrong side.

The receiving unit isnt great there isnt enough depth Allen Hurns is the only reliable receiver on the team w/o Scott and Dorsett on the field. Your boy Clive Walford dropped one play after the other tonight, and Herb Waters dropped more then a couple of crucial plays that S. Morris hit on the money.

None of that is James Coley's fault.... even w/ all the miscues on offense, they still did enough to win. The defense is the unit that deserves the majority of the blame easily.

The fact that you say just b/c the OL is the best unit on the team is suppose to make your point of view make sense just shows how clueless u really are.

and talent isnt the issue at all on this defense, there you go again like the rest of the D'onofrio supporters 2 dug in to accept reality. A better DC would make the talent we have on this team more effective on the field.

AJ Highsmith playing on the field isnt b/c of lack of talent, it's b/c of D'onofrio that he's out there. Gunter Burns Jamal Carter or even Tracy Howard are 100x better safeties naturally then AJ Highsmith regardless if they are going to make mental errors or not.

The LB unit isnt that bad.... A DC w/ a brain would say that Cornelius isnt talented enough to be in the 2 deep here regardless of his lack of mental errors, and play Raphael Kirby, Denzel Perryman, and Alex Figueroa in the rotation or Jermaine Grace. I'd live w/ the results if i know i have the best talent on the field playing in a scheme they can succeed in.

The D-line has talent, it's the scheme simple as that.

If the offense did enough tonight to win. We would have scored more than they did, and the offense wouldn't even be in doubt.

Had this offense that OC Coley is calling. Been our offense last season. We would have had 9 losses. This dude can barely win games when the defense only gives up 20 points.

I love how your trying to down play the offense, and the talent that it has. To try and make your point to excuse Coley, and get your agenda across about Ono.

Your agenda however, is nothing that not too many people disagree with. In fact if you could read. I said that even with the talent that we do have, and that includes the 31's, and 30's of the roster. That our D should still be better that what it is.

SMH TERRIBLE

Over 300 passing and 24 point vs Bud Foster with a moron for a qb. Not bad imho.

In a rainy game like that no one should expect the offense to be perfect especially when playing from behind a deficit that kept increasing all game.

even w/ that said, multiple missed opportunities from the receivers wouldve had those numbers even better. Also the run game had to be abandoned b/c the defense gave VT the red carpet to the endzone.

The offense wasnt the problem at all really as far as James Coley is concerned and that's really just a fact.

TOP 20:30
Rushing Yards: 28
Passing Yards: 328
3rd down efficiency: 3-12

We started off the 3rd quarter with a 1st and 5 & went 3 and out.

We had two drives that had Two or more 1st downs the whole game. Not counting the end of the game drive

Even the punter screwed up. This game just sucked. No player or coach earned their way last night. I owe gator fans an apology. They were right, they sucked and that is why we won. Now that we see how bad we suck, we can understand why they can't beat anybody. FSU better not put too much confidence on the beating they gave us. ****, they might actually suck too, just not as bad.

I don't have a big problem with Coley.

Sure the offence could do with being a little more consistent, but they're scoring points. I'd love to drop the zone running plays with our lumbering O-linemen, but that's just me.

What's being overlooked slightly is that Morris is clearly badly injured. That achilles injury is seriously hurting his throwing mechanics. The staff obviously has zero confidence in Williams if he can't get off the bench in this situation.

The killer problem with the offense is that it is so predictable, even a three year old knows when they are going to run or pass.

Also, would it be so difficult to install a few new plays into the offense every week?
