Here is some more scattered thoughts from a random fan. I’m 30, was too young to witness the truly greatest Miami teams. My first memory of sports is being mad with my dad in the 2002 NC.

Miami hits the over on the season win total which was set at 9.5 and finish the regular season 10-2, undefeated at home.

This was probably the year with the most parity in CFB that I can remember. IMO NIL is dispersing the talent so Bama/UGA can’t hoard a roster like before. UGA who has 2 natties in the last year 3 years went 10-2. Bama had 3 losses with two of those coming against .500 teams, they scored 3 against one of those .500 teams. We were better against a mutual opponent in USF. OSU which rumored to have the most expensive roster ever went 10-2 and lost to their rival who was having a down year and downright looked bad at times. Just let all that sink in.

The Canes regular season could have ended even better!! Which is awesome to say. We should have went 12-0 but unfortunately we didn’t. Defense was a problem, I’m sure there will be changes. But we just had 10 wins for the first time in 7 years and had the number 1 offense in cfb. Cam Ward was so fun to watch, even with all his flaws.

Mario has flaws, so does the rest of cfb. We missed in the portal on CB, how many quality CB’s were actuallly in the portal? We hit at every single other position in the portal. If you’re a lifetime fan and say you’re done with the team now, gimme a break, this is the best we’ve been in 2 decades and the program is trending up. If you wanna go be a fan of another team then do it and stay off CIS. Of course we’ll talk potential solutions and all that.

Pray that we get into the playoff to see Cam Ward play in orange and green again. If not then buckle up for the off season and let’s look forward to improving the best we can. Mario earn your check on the recruiting trails. Let’s keep ******* building. And **** all of you, Go Canes.

I agree it was idiotic to not go for the TD instead of kicking the FG. Not **** we can do. All I’m saying is calling for Mario to be fired after our best season in a long time is a bit ridiculous.

Yet still a complete and utter failure of a season. Good coached teams improve through the season. Mario can’t out-scheme anyone. Mario can’t even win against the mediocre with a freaking Heisman qb. Maybe he can be moved to recruiting coordinator?

Did OSU improve to end the season? Should Ryan day be moved to recruiting coordinator? You know it’s not happening so why even contemplate it. We all knew Mario isn’t a scheme guy so just accept that.

If you are 30, you would think this is an elite season. Truth is, the record was bare minimum with this QB and this schedule. 11-1 would have been true progress.

You ***** would rather us go 6-6 and fire a coach every year I swear lol yeah stacking 10 win seasons isn’t good for recruiting how could it be???
Who is stacking 10 win seasons?, if you think Miami is winning 10 next year, I have some ocean front property I would like to sell you!

Can’t stack 10 wins next year if you aren’t even happy with 10 wins this year is my point. Also we have 8 home games next year as of right now, idk if that sticks, but even with a less talented QB and maybe a better overall defense, you can still go undefeated at home.

I guess im a **** as you put it but to me missing the playoff at 10-2 is no better then 6-6. With the state of college football today recruits don’t really matter as long as they can enter the portal after arriving on campus.
That’s absolutely not true. The best teams are still 75% HS recruiting talent with 25% portal additions. So 10-2 is easier to recruit with than 6-6 is.
