Clinton Portis - good or great

Very good NFL career. But, a couple things hampered his career - leaving Denver (Shanahan would have made him a monster) and being lazy in practice and the off-season.

Lmao .....the Internet knows no bounds. Now you have people calling Portis lazy. Lmao.

taken from his teammate. Chris Cooley has a radio show in the DC area and said Portis competed like nobody esle he knew during the games. But during practices, he wasn't exactly the hardest worker and didn't like doing a lot of things.

Also said that his workout habits during the off season were similar.

Don't blame me for reading those words.

Why was it so necessary for Jason Taylor to agree to the Redskins' offseason conditioning demands? Well, because Clinton Portis does it. Yes, Clinton Portis, whose entire career has been defined by his by-the-books insistence on showing up for voluntary offseason workout sessions. Clinton Portis, whose 2008 campaign was marked primarily by his demands that all teammates practice regularly, regardless of their various injury concerns

Portis was known for his hard work. I remember an issue being him coming back to Miami to work out rather than with his team. You probably misunderstood what was being said.

Great player...GOAT personality! Be glad we got to witness this unique individual.

His outfits and personalities were tremendous. His running and balance superb. He effortlessly found another gear and we would have beaten Washington in 00 if inserted into the lineup a series earlier. Was he great? Please.

Didn't mishear - it was the other day. He said CP didn't like to practice and he basically had an agreement with Gibbs - you don't make me do X in practice and I'll go all out in games. Again, Cooley said CP was THE hardest worker on the field (sprinting downfield to block for a WR, pass pro, you name it). Practice was a different story.,

Anyway...
