And he would probably do pretty well here. Moving on to the NFL opens up so many doors and mentors for coaches to learn from. Even Al Golden completely transformed his defensive philosophy after going to the NFL for 5 years. I think Mario needs someone who can completely own that side of the ball though and be a good figurehead. No clue if **** would be a good fit for that.

Franchise had some really good takes and a way with words! I liked him a lot.

A d line coach is suppose to teach technique. A d line coach isn't calling plays he isnt making his dline stunt on every single play.

Position coaches work on technique and fundamentals. They have a voice in scheme but the d coordinate determines what they will run. I think JT will only get better and kids are gonna want to be coached by a hofer. I'm not sure losing him will be terrible it depends on who they bring in. The consensus is big joe can go tho.

When your defense is horse**** and getting trashed weekly, I would hope Guidry and Mario are seeking JT’s thoughts. I’m sure he has credibility in the room and Mario values his opinion when nothing is working.
