Clemson DTackle gaining interest in Canes[emoji848]

I am always leery of grad transfers because of their "quitter" attitude...But with all those Clemson guys by some miracle staying in school, this kid is blocked by some real talent, and I believe he was their #7 or #8 linemen. We need DT and SSDE. Sign him up if he wants in.

Probably didn’t expect all of them Clemson lineman to come back

thats a crock of ****. I'm sure it applies for some, but he's been there 4 years and for whatever reason legit/not he feels a fresh start might help. See Adrian. By that logic if you are a job and then dont just stick it out when you don't feel you have gotten the promotion you want, you must suck too, yet we know tons of people need to make a change and then excel in their new companies. Same applies here.

Yea and I’m sure it wasn’t cheap..

Long time reader of the board and all that first time posting mess. I’ll hop in this one since this kid is from my area in NC. Saw him play live a couple times. Really good high school player but never understood his high 4 star ranking. Played in 3A at a new high school, well coached but if you aren’t in 4A up here you don’t play great comp. never expected him to start over the studs clemson has, but solid player though. Used his size to bully kids. Quickness never stood out. Didn’t watch his film just going off the times I saw him. Would be a nice pickup considering the need for bodies and his size. i think Kul could make him a player

Wasn't he an Under Armour AA kid?

Sign ‘em up ASAP.

Season gets long. Kids get dinged up. We need bodies. If nothing less, they’ll help provide depth for practice. We got the scholly’s...use ‘em.

Pretty sure he was but I had zero interest in his recruitment bc Miami wasn’t really involved. I’m 4 or 5 years older than him so I was long gone from high school. I wasn’t around to see the hype on him or what the talk was from people around him

This would be huge if we can bring this guy in with 2 years of eligibility....would take away some of the sting of missing out on Briggs/Chatman/Coburn.

Bethel is here in 2019. So we’ll habe bethel, Ford, silvera, Miller and whoever else.

Some of the best *** I've ever had was with late straggler pickups.

Exactly, Chise. They aren't fancy, but they get the job done when called upon at that time. This guy is a no brainer, especially with the depth issues we have on D-line. :troll-slap:

Easy tiger...I just said I'm leery, not all in opposition. And my opinion doesn't matter anyways, it's the coaches on a case by case bases. I'm glad we're looking for D-line any way we can.
