Clements

Was never impressed with Clements. Ran hard but didn't have the wiggle I would expect from a back his size. I can't even count how many times this season he's broken through the initial LOS only to put his head (and eyes) down and run into contact. He doesn't even look to make someone miss and often times there's room for a play to be made.

He lacks splosiverance, is diminutive, does not possess good straight-line speed, doesn't have much wiggle, and he didn't really advantagize the opportunimals he received through his four years here. Good kid though.

True but he always came in first in the tuff-some-***** category.

Cane for life and I'll always celebrate him!!

Kid just had some tough injuries, due to putting his body out on the line. He gave his all, running down on special teams full throttle, dipping his chin for tough 3rd down conversions, and blocking guys 3 times his size head first, etc... All you can ask for is that a kid play his heart out, and I think he's done that. Can't think of any bonehead decisions on or off the field.

He's alright with me!!!

Maybe he'll go out with a bang the way Kendall Thompkins did his last game.

Definitely. Kid did everything that was asked of him.

Injuries held him back and he always got buried on the depth chart. Kid could have been good. He always produced.

I will say that I was disappointed that Al didnt give Clements the start on senior day. And he only gave him 4 carries. Very disappointed about that.

You don't give out carries, they are earned.

Fact is that Clements has always been a very mediocre back. Even when he was at BTW I was never that impressed with him and said he was overrated. South Florida had some good RBs come out that year with James White, Corvin Lamb, Gio Bernard and I thought they were all better

It was senior day. We were playing against a 2-9 team and Clements was our only senior running back. The kid should have gotten the start and a handful of carries early and late. At least that's how I see it.

Agreed. To call Clements mediocre is far from fair. If he could have stayed healthy he starts over Dallas this year in my opinion. Missed out on way too much practice and therefore never fully developed. I hope he surprises some scouts at Miamis pro day in a few months and proves all detractors wrong.

Good solid lunch-pail kid. Was never going to be much more than that.

He was a 4-star RB in high school. The #11 RB in the nation. Had offers from Miami, FSU, UGA, Michigan and Tennessee. Sounds like more than that.

never had a FSU offer. he was begging for one and would've commit on the spot. now we see how great of a talent evaluator JIMBO is AND know that clements isn't any GOOD
