Class Impact: Xavier Restrepo to Miami

Broward has done slightly better than Dade in 8A. I agree with your point, but there's not that many good teams in either county, IMO.

In dade, there's 6-7: Carol City, Central, Booker T, MNW, Columbus, South Dade, and this year Palmetto.

Broward: STA, AHP, Chaminade, Gibbons, Deerfield, and they'll have another team that will be good for 1-2 years (their version of palmetto).

The rest of the teams are several tiers below and are worse than before with now being able to enroll in any school.

You can still find D1 prospects at other schools, but that doesn't always mean that they have a good team. There have been plenty of teams with a bunch of D1 kids that have sucked. This is why I always say that we have the most talent in our area, but the competition or quality of opponent that the majority of our local teams face isn't any better than most of the power states (if not worse due to the resources for coaching). For example: if STA didn't schedule those OOS and out of class teams, their schedule would be a joke.
4 of those teams you mentioned in Broward are private schools.

We had the number one team in Broward in 08 but we lost to Douglas 1st round :(
I always had fun when we would play BA when I was in school (sphs) had some good games and played for some district championships.

I see no reason Rest couldn’t go both ways not every play but in scheme of deception on O and D coverage camouflage.

Rest talent is untapped ready to release

South Plantation and Plantation (especially) could be really good if they ever hired a coach who had a clue. Plantation is one of the most underachieving programs in Broward County. They always have athletes. And their location is prime.
South Plant was for years Gatewood right? I remember him at Piper.
