Agreed 100%. This season is like a contract year for Riggins. He has a great ceiling IMO but like @TRick72 said Riggins has been hurt for much of the last 2 years. I'm pulling for the kid like crazy because he has been so loyal. I'll be watching him closely this season and if he is able to take the next step and remain healthy, he will be getting that 4th star back and UM will be getting a very good DT prospect.

I dont understand where he has been so loyal? Literally no one has came calling. Loyalty is when other teams come pushing and you tell them nah

I can agree with that. Country boy strength is just kind of a joke here in north carolina.

Agree and I’d also throw Louisiana in there as well. But the Carolinas stand above all those states when it comes to D lineman. There something about those two states that just breeds beasts at that position. Maybe it’s the famous BBQ up there, idk. Lol

My ninja, I think u need to ease up homie & get out ur feelings. Idgaf who u’re connected to w/in the program. I wasn’t coming at u foul. I don’t make “smart ***” responses; I either come at u direct, or I don’t. I ain’t w/ the bull chit in real life or on this here site. I legit said “maybe” meaning POSSIBLY. Why? B/c:

1. He’s not a true freshman, he’s a redshirt freshman & has played zero snaps while other young, true freshman r starting.

2. As I’ve said MANY TIMES, The portal has made it real convenient to exit when things don’t go a kid’s way, and way too many kids r dipping early when it comes to PT.

If it’s something else, so be it, but that’s the overwhelming reason y kids r exercising the portal, w/ the 2nd reason being home sick.

I thought he needed a couple years of development but could have been good. A little shocked he’s transferring out so soon. Ford is gone this season and Nesta and Miller are gone next season. He’d have a shot to be a key player possibly starter if he put in the work

The concerns with him is that he’s been injured the last 2 years so there isn’t a lot of game film on him, plus he doesn’t do the camp circuit. Which is fine but it’s Really difficult to tell if he’s taken the next step in his development from when he first committed at a young age.

I believe the staff will be keeping a close eye on him this fall and reevaluating him. I for you am rooting like **** for the kid because NO ONE has been more loyal than him. I hope he takes the next step but if not I am sure the staff will do right by him, drop him in time and maybe help get him into another program.

I’m guessing we take 3 de’s via portal/juco unless we get the de’s in 22 class that are studs we are in the mix for
