Class Impact: Louis Hedley to Miami

This is just my common sense speaking here ok.

Just like there's QB off season camps , there are punting camps like Kohls punting camps look it up. With just this in mind plus your father was an NFL punter for many years wouldn't you think our punter would have the best of the best training to be the best and be on a path to follow his father.

People would this make sense at all , has this question ever been asked to special teams coach or even to Feagles ?

I think our special teams is made up of a lot of soft weak minded individuals. It definetly shows when the lights come on for game day. With that said this guy is neither soft nor does he seem like is is afraid of the moment. If at the very least teams will have to respect he might just take off instead of kicking the ball. About **** time.
Not only that, but he adds another legit tackler/defender against the return; not easy to block and the potential to knock somebody out of their cleats.

Like him, distance not great but good hang time and excellent placement - the ability to run with it also a big plus even if he doesn't run someone on the receiving team will have to watch him.

Ya think?

Stud running back watched our last three games and bugged the **** out.

JUCO punter watched our last three games and said "I'm gonna be a star"

Also, leave it to Miami to find the one Aussie punter that ISN'T an absolute stud. At least he looks like he will help us win a bar fight?
Yeah. Why couldn't we just find a Greek soccer player from among the many on campus. There was a post here saying they like to party and tailgate but won't drive to the stadium. Maybe it's a language barrier, like they don't understand when we have control over the ball "incompletion" and "sack" and they think "got stuffed" has something to do with a big meal, not something to do with the offensive line ....and when it comes to the offensive line, they don't understand why it's "offensive." They don't understand "squib" or "pooch" or when there's a sack, they look and look at the TV and can't see anybody carrying a big bag. I'm sure American football can be baffling to many Greeks. At least the Australian guy has Australian rules football which is similar.

Just trying to think of ways to get all our Greeks involved...maybe a Souvlaki stand at the stadium?

Talking of "punting" be careful talking about "punters" to British people.

Did anyone notice that female announcer on the Duke game called the "quick kick" a "pooch"?

Doesn't she know what a "quick kick" is?

The color guy called it what it was, a "quick kick."

She really annoyed me. A dilletante. Not qualified, affirmative action.

Nowadays, a quick kick is quite rare but she should know what it was.

I remember seeing UM quick kick in the Orange Bowl in the '50's.

I even remember vaguely that football was so conservative that teams would sometimes punt on third down.

"Pooch" punt! Amazing. Sounds like she's thinking about part of her anatomy!

The 2 step roll out is a habit from his Aussie rules days, his technique isn't rugby it's Aussie rules all the way. It's also not that hard to fix. The hard bit is often the flexibility. AFL players have a big follow through but a longer kicking motion. He kicks "end over end" or a drop punt in Australia for most of these punts. This gives far better control, obviously, but he will lack control when trying to hit bigger kicks. Be prepared for some good and bad. I still doubt he will have a 4 yard punt.

If he can kick like a Kiwi or Aussie 10 yr old girl, he will be an upgrade.

Huge upgrade.

You just have to be a rugby/AFL guy/gal to understand.

Now, he has to live up to what he should be able to do...whole other story obviously.
