Brashard Smith at 5'11 is a Top-100 player in the country type of talent
Agree with the above post. The "Yul vs Brashard" debate was a great one at one point. But now it looks like Brashard has clearly seperated himself. Yul had his shot and I think the staff would have easily taken his commitment early on in the process. Now we dont need him and we DEFINITELY dont need anymore small, tiny, slot kids. Im hoping that KSmith or Redding or Payton can finally push Pope to the slot in 2021 where he needs to be. And put Wiggins on the bench where he needs to be.
He’s Kevin Williams all over again, or so we can hope. But the body type is the same. Relatively short but strong so able to bounce off arm tacklers. He’s also not a slight dude at all. Regardless of exact height, he’s pretty thick and strong. Not a guy who gets knocked off his route easily. He’s strong and seeks out contact. Excellent player.
Going pro in whatever his major is hopefully it’s not communications lolWiggins is going pro after this year.

Don’t sleep on JacolbyMuch deserved. His film is absurd and there was no way he isn't a consensus 4 star prospect. I can't wait to see him & romello push the competition within the receiver room in 2021.
I know he's good too but he may need a bit more work in the weight room before he sees the field, plus not sure how likens/lashlee will utilize him, will he be primarily in the slot or will he be used in & out situationally kinda like pope.Don’t sleep on Jacolby
Agree. Smith can be effective anywhere based on his film. People see under 6 feet and will automatically put him in the slot.Even at 5'9 a 92 is still underrating him. The most overdone comparison is 89/Steve Smith for every short WR. This is the first time I think it's valid. He has the thick build and the physical running, but more importantly he can line up outside, run a full route tree and win the ball.
I hope the staff doesn't pigeonhole him to the slot cause there are better candidates (Restrepo, Daz, Jacolby) who benefit more from the 2-way go and zone spot drops.
Spot on, and he’ll have more production than Toney early in career if we can keep QB play on point and Lashlee at the helm of the O.Kadarius Toney.
