Clarkson QB Retreat Recap - lots of fun

Of course. I was only speaking in reference to that impressive single metric point in a vacuum, not as the end-all be-all. I'm pretty sure Chad Pennington has won more games than Jeff George. Certain he's won more playoff games...
46-80 for Jeff George(million dollar arm, 10 cent head)

46-41 for Chad P.(million dollar head, 10 cent arm)

funny the wins are the same.

But it took Jeff a lot longer.

that's great and all, but .....

give me a minute and let me flip through an old playbook. i'm looking for some of those plays where the QB needs to throw it 80 yards

😜
It shows that he has great arm strength & can throw the ball with great velocity, which increases the ability to make high degree difficulty throws, which in turn allows the OC to have more flexibility with play calling when he knows his QB can make throws that most can’t...

Which makes your offense more difficult to defend because Defenses simply can’t cut half the field off & stack the box.

Of course there aren’t going to plays where you throw it 80 yards, but as an OC with a big arm QB you know you can be aggressive & call for a Deep post on your own 40yd line putting pressure on the opposing secondary to have to defend against a play they’re not expecting.

We'd better be careful, otherwise LCE is going to rattle off every 80-yard completion in the NFL and NCAA over the past 40 years...

oh, of course. just being cheeky. :)

if it's evidence that every blade of grass is open to the OC because of it, (a la TVD), then that's a good thing

Stupid, crazy, extremely desperate Hail Mary with nothing left on the clock 🤷🏾‍♂️

Yes that’s Dom’s son & he has amazingly gifted natural arm talent.

He’s an ELITE ELITE pure passer, incredible arm strength & throws off platform better than most do on platform.

He’s been compared to Pat Mahomes, I don’t like making lofty comps like that, especially for HS Soph/Juniors, but I can kinda see it with his improvisational style & the way he generates an insane amount of torque from his upper body while throwing on the run.

Dylan Raiola is special.

A close friend of mine if a diehard Huskers fan. He can't get over the fact a legacy kid, who's uncle is the OL coach on staff recruiting him, won't give the Huskers a chance and is already recruiting for Ohio State.

All while throwing it only 8 yards.
