Yeah that King deal with the Panthers was a big ole flop. Worked out well for King though. This is really the beginning of the end of college football. It’s going to reach a level where kids don’t give a **** about what their position coach is telling them because they are making more money than the coach. Mo money Mo problems.
 
I don't have twitter, but somebody needs to @ Lemonis with this **** and let him spread the word. This is a tax deduction for billionaires and it would be the one way to lock down SF. On top of his already legit recruiting, if Mario can tell these kids to stick around because they'll get paid like THAT, its game over.

Lettuce do the math. 100k per scholarship player is 8.5 million a year. 20 billion divided by 8.5 million is 2,353, rounded. Ruiz could pay every scholarship player 100k for the next 2,353 years.

Put it like this, MIami dominated CFB in a time when there wasn’t finger tip info on recruits and we had some schematic innovation advantage (JJ 4-3 defense and later the single back spread to run O). We got destroyed when CFB evolved to a coaching talent arms race with support/facilities being another front in that war.

Today, decided to enter the arms race for elite coaches but the battlefield is always evolving. NIL deals will be the next front and UT for all their incompetence has a boat load of cash.
 
College football is going through some big-time changes.

We just hired one of the best recruiters in the country but will it matter when schools are offering kids $50k/year and you are not ?

Also you gotta love the name of the UT non profit organization "The Pancake Factory" they are using to funnel the money to the olinemen! This approach is pure genius because olinemen tend be the least marketed position on a team unless they are a stellar group "the Washington Redskins Hogs" or similar. NIL deals flow to the pretty positions, but the game is won with the big uglies.

That's pay-for-play which is against our Florida NIL law. I'm assuming Texas doesn't have an NIL or pay-for-play is not in it. We are being investigated by the NCAA for our whole team $500/month NIL because of our state law.
