What to play the transitive game? FSU beat Clemson by appx 50. Clemson best Wake by appx 50. Miami beat Wake by 4. We down 96. Just saying.

FSU beat BC by 14.
UNC beat BC by 24.
UM beat UNC by 3.
UM should beat FSU by 13.

Solid. Mine has FSU by 96. Yours had Miami by 13. FSU by 83?

The point is that this sort of analysis is completely meaningless. UNC and Wake are better than most people think. UNC was expected to compete for the ACC championship prior to the season and I suspect they will finish the strong. Those two wins by Miami will look better at the end of the season.

Expect a dogfight Saturday night.

Actually, my late father said he wrote an article for the UM school newspaper, whatever it was called back then, disproving the value of comparative scores. I can only guess that the article appeared in the late '30's, maybe the early '40's. I wish I had seen it. He only told me about it.

Don't know what **** talking is going on, but I do know that Bobby Bowden personally ****ed off Dennis Erickson one year and Dennis promised to kick FSU's *** from one end of the Orange Bowl to the other. It was probably the '91 game. We sure did.

Yep. For those of us with hope in our hearts, this is the sort of stuff that happens in rivalry games, especially when one side hears how shtty they are all week and how they don't stand a chance, and the other side has had smoke blown up their asses all year long.

We've all seen the underdog pull off upsets every year in rivalry games. I harken back to a call to Hurricane Hotline from the 1990s that has stuck with me vividly all this time. An adroit fella named Stan told the hosts of that show that he longed for a return to the essence of Hurricanes football. More eloquently than I'm capable of reproducing with my rudimentary writing skills, Stan went on to sum up the essence of Hurricanes football as "getting the other team to quit."

I think if UM comes out there breathing fire for 60 minutes on Saturday night at some point during the game fsu will give in. Go in there with the mindset that we will just keep punching for 15 rounds Aaron Pryor style and let the cards fall where they will.
