How much does Brashard Smith weigh? He entered UM at 6 ft 180lbs, according to the roster. He has room to put on weight.
I wonder how much Dylan Sampson was when he got to Tennessee? He entered UM at 6 ft 180lbs, according to the roster. He has room to put on weight.
Calling him a Freshman a JAG is an absurd statement. We had one of the most loaded rb room in the country. Let’s at least see what he does with meaningful practice reps this springCWH is a JAG imo. Until proven otherwise, that's my opinion. I don't see that dude doing anything as a RB in a Cane uniform.
I felt that way from the time he committed.Calling him a Freshman a JAG is an absurd statement. We had one of the most loaded rb room in the country. Let’s at least see what he does with meaningful practice reps this spring
Smith was about 190How much does Brashard Smith weigh?
While I agree his upside is somewhat limited at RB due to his lack of explosiveness he probably has a better shot at RB THIS SEASON then he would at cb or safety(fs being where I think his best shot long term is) his problem is he doesn't have the explosiveness for cb or RB & as of now he doesn't have the physicality or the top end speed for free. He's a prototypical tweener as of right now. But what he's got in spades is a competitive drive and he's a flat out ball player. Reminds me of DJ Dallas or Henry parrish in that senseCWH can't win our RB2 job either, so idk why those two things are being mentioned.
Just trying to save everyone some time and energy. Go play corner and embrace it. Better chance at money and playing time.
A master at workMiami should target an RB1 in the porthole to replace Martinez.
Who disagrees?
You can’t let him at least develop first lmfao. Just because he didn’t rush for 1,000 yards his freshman year doesn’t mean he isn’t good. He wasn’t getting meaningful reps when you have Martinez and Fletcher as your two lead backs lolI felt that way from the time he committed.
If he develops, that'll be great and I'll admit I was wrong. But I don't think he's got it. I feel the same way about Juan Minaya, Judd Anderson and Jackson CarverYou can’t let him at least develop first lmfao. I'm pulling for the kid but bummed we took him over Isaac BrownWhile I agree his upside is somewhat limited at RB due to his lack of explosiveness he probably has a better shot at RB THIS SEASON then he would at cb or safety(fs being where I think his best shot long term is) his problem is he doesn't have the explosiveness for cb or RB & as of now he doesn't have the physicality or the top end speed for free. To be fair the screens/bubbles serve that purpose as well in this offense. Inside zone/duo/power is usually a numbers in the box decision.Hooping that more runs will be to the edges and not the majority of the focus on running between the A Gap. Lets see some tosses and counters
Or we could see what he can actually do at running back first.Go grab someone in the portal then.
Good thing we didn’t ruin Isaac Brown!!! That kid dodged a bullet!I'm pulling for the kid but bummed we took him over Isaac Brown
Agreed but as long as Dawson/Mirabal are here we're going right up the middle on 95% of our running plays. Eventually teams are going to zero in on that and our lack of options in the running game is going to hurt us. Every year they talk about self scouting yet our running game is basically inside zone/duo runs right up the A gap. I know it's been efficient and effective to this point but eventually it will hurt us. I've never seen any other team in college limit their rushing attack to being exclusively A gap.Hooping that more runs will be to the edges and not the majority of the focus on running between the A Gap.
