It’s gonna be Candle
He couldn't do worse than Guidry.

It’s gonna be Candle
With the holiday coming are you sure it's not a little smokie?Yeah that’s what Hampton will base his decision on: how the people at Oregon view Mario although they offered him a contract extension the night he lost the pac-12 championship and he was basically coming to Miami.
on a professional level decision, the reason why DC candidates would be interested in Miami:
1. There is young talent in the team
2. You would work in a location to recruit good, young talent.
3. Miami has a great NIL collective
4. The head coach has job security (administration isn’t even close to considering replacing Mario).
5. The position pays well.
6. Pick your own staff.
If Mario fires Guidry, the candidates to replace him will be long and distinguished like my Johnson
mario is gonna have to accept that the NFL guys arent necessarily in love with recruiting. he should pick up the slack (since he offers nothing else as an HC). at this point, get great tacticians and developers of talent and just focus on bringing them talent that they need. be literally a recruiting coordinator and thats it.
Why in the world would Chris Hampton leave Oregon to coach for Mario? Talk about going from an Alpha coach to a Beta coach. I simply don't see anyone of his caliber and intensity coaching for Mario
Is Wario waiting to fire Guidry until all DC’s worth salt are picked over?
Let’s play this out.
Do you think Miami firing their DC today would help or hurt their chances with the playoff committee tonight? Answer is hurt
Let’s pretend that they fire him today and still get into the CFP, who is calling the defense for the biggest game of the year?
The problem is there’s no one else on the defensive staff that has ever called plays at the D1 level. Believe me, I hate Guidry and cannot wait until he’s fired, but for a dozen different reasons we all have to wait
Relax, I was halfway joking but he could probably get anyone on staff to do the job Guidry is doing because Guidry’s D can’t stop a nose bleed in a cotton factory. Let’s just hope he has made some phone calls and doesn’t wait until the beginning of spring practice.Let’s play this out.
