Chris Curry

Richt needs to get Portis, McGahee, Gore, Payton, and Davenport all on campus one day. Then he makes sure Lingard, Davis, and RB3 (whether Curry, Cook, or other) all OV that same day. Then sit them all across from each other at a table and say "this is what we want to do again, and every one of these guys played in the NFL." I can't think of a much better pitch to convince 3 ultra-talented running backs to commit to the same school.

I definitely would take Curry and call him a FB, so that we can take 2 other RBs. I can see the Marshawn comparison as far as running style is concerned, but he looks much bigger than Marshawn was coming out of HS, and Marshawn was much quicker than Curry is.

Personally Give me Lingard as the top Target and Curry and Shivers as complimentary pieces. That would be the best haul possible. Cooks going to FSU.

Our Targets are -

1. Lingard

2. Cook

3. Davis

Then - Curry and others

My guess is we good hard after the top 3 and potentially only take someone else if we can't land at least 2 of them

I can't see Curry taking a backseat to anyone...This kid's a beast.

Honestly speed is a concern for me with him. Even in his highlights he gets caught from behind

Had runs of 98, 93, 80, and 68 yards and ran for back to back 300 yard games, ran for over 1100 yards on about 100 carries in only 6 games

If he's getting caught from behind it means he's man enough to get past them in the first place. To **** with a guy with speed that falls down when the wind blows, or gets tripped by grass.

I just saw his highlights.

Holy fcukin s.hitt.

Must get. We need a big bruising back like that on the team.

I'm not crazy about guys who break a ton of tackles in their high school highlights. In college, those guys get gang tackled and put on the ground. Give me the guys who don't get touched.

That's pipe dream stuff right now.

Everyone would love a depth chart full of McGahees but that isn't realistic.

I get what you're saying because that speaks to vision. But imo his o-line does him less favors than most top RB prospects I see. I see a great burst, balance and power paired with good vision and an aggressive running style

For those who can't navigate hudl beyond his pinned tape (Soph year):

For those who want his jr year stats, according to maxpreps:

105 carries - 1158 yards (11 ypc) - 13 tds

Good point. His production is definitely eye-popping. Would like to see how he moves in a camp setting.

He is the type of running back that the defense hate to see in the 4th quarter. He is a bruiser that hit the holes with burst.

I'm with you. Nice player - runs hard, strong, can move, but he's not your 1A RB recruit, imo. Lingard is that dude.

Something is amiss when I watch Curry - can't put my finger on it. He doesn't have that wiggle/instinct that the elite RBs seem to have.

Curious to see how he plays this fall.

Kid looks like he's got pretty good speed on that last Hudl clip. Sign this beast.
