Checked out an NC State board.

they can throw the ball so yeah they pose a big threat to us and probably should feel confident. GT was stuck in sand til they went to the pistol and started throwing the ball. any team that can remotely throw the ball has been able to and has put up their best numbers on the season passing against us last year and so far this year - Klein at K State is a good college QB but he won't be putting up passing numbers like that ever again. Our offense might need to put up 40+ points again this week. It is what it is. Hopefully we'll use more 3 man fronts in nickel situations and have 2 guys showing blitz often - don't need both to come but at least let the other team guess which is coming. That's been the form of blitz/rush that has at least gotten us pressures (compared to the other options).

Great Post.

Glennon is a solid QB. They run the spread which always gives us problems. They have three very good receivers and a solid tight end. They start a veteran O line with 3 5th year seniors on it.

On D they have a preseason All-ACC candidate at corner.

They've got the tools to beat us and 3 weeks to prepare. Plus it's the perfect letdown opportunity after the emotional win at GT.

My lack of faith in No D Ofrio makes me weary about this game.

I know, they should be a humble bunch considering their great achievement as of late was recording 8 wins. There's really nothing worse then crazy white people.

Except some crazy Muslims.

Wait until we play cowboys and muslims. They just think they're bad.

NC State concerns me, but I'm feeling confident that even if it's close going into the fourth, we'll pull away.

I went to a small school in NC to play college lacrosse and tons of kids there were "State" fans. They actually call them selves state with a hick accent and all. It seemed to me they weren't really of the type of character as say a UNC or Duke fan ...

UCONN held NC State's mighty offense to 10 points.

UCONN committed 4 turnovers and still only gave up 10 points.

It's hard to imagine that we do not have more talent or a better defense than UCONN.

We have to find a way to win. We have to find a way to rattle Glennon. NC State also has some decent RB's and we all know how well we play the run.

First we lose close, then we win close. Pretty soon we're pounding the teams that we should. I wish the process would hurry the **** up.

This is the same **** EVERYONE on this board said before Kansas St last year...Kstate this year.....BC.....etc....
Jus stop it.

What is NC State even doing in the ACC? They are the worst academic program in the conference (by far) and have accomplished pretty much nothing in athletics either. They would fit much better in the Big East (would even be in the bottom tier of that crappy conference).

All your hypothetical BS.... "If team A did scored this much, and we got x amount more talent then we should win easily...."

Thats BS because theres 100x different variables that can affect it.

ol first grade level logic as nujja.

"hey team q beat team a and we're better than team q so we should beat team a easy."

don't mofos know certain competition presents possible matchup problems that the other team wouldn't necessarily present? don't they know that it's harder to get up for UCONN than it would be for UM on the road?

With a team this young, it does not matter what anyone else has done to/ against NCST. The only thing that matters is what we do. I am interested to see how much our dbs have improved since we played BC. I dont believe that ncst runs the same type of spread as KSU. KSU is a run first with the qb style and set up the rest of the O with that. This is more of a traditional spread passing attack. We know now from the BC game that we can play man with anyone on the outside and even the slot. So with that said, we may give up a few here and there in man, but can we stop the run? Can we cover a TE or a RB out of the backfield? Can we get off the field on third down? Can we create a turnover? These are the things we need to do to see the improvement we are looking for IMO.

Making comparisons between how a team did against another team and how we expect them to do against us is a pretty reasonable thing to do. It's not a perfect predictor, but we do the same thing each week when we compare our own performance against our previous opponents when predicting how we will do against our upcoming opponent. If people didn't do that there would be no polls and no way to seed bowls.

C. Klein 9/11 210 1 TD 1 INT vs Miami
C. Klein 15/20 230 2 TDs vs North Texas
C. Klein 13/21 149 yds vs OU

I definitely agree with your premise and I'm not a fan of our defensive scheme. But Klein is better than people think.
