Chatfield to osu

I would like to believe if offering Chatfield would help us land his teammates that our staff would know that and offer him. I'm also trying not to put too much stock into CBs. Nesta seems very Pro-Cane in his interviews and was already recruiting Tyson along with Herbet. OSU can have Surtain, not like we were in the running for him anyways.

I'm perfectly fine with not offering Chatfield. I would never be a proponent of offering a kid you really don't want for the sake of getting someone you do want. Every scholarship is important. That said, there are MANY reasons why we should beat tOSU for the AH targets we want, every time.

Surtain is going to LSU. I think tOSU is way too late to the game here.

May as well prepare ourselves for Campbell to pick tOSU and for Nesta to flip.

You're proving OriginalCanesCanesCanes' point in each thread you post in. This is either a Gayturd troll move or faqqitry unbecoming of a Cane.

LOL...In your mind, anybody who posts anything that isn't rainbows and sunshine must be a Gator or Nole troll. Do you not see any reason at all for concern regarding Campbell and Nesta? I know Pete says Nesta is solid and Campbell is a Cane lean, but Pete's been wrong before (he was wrong about Chatfield).

I see a lot of reason for concern but your posting history and pattern is looking suspicious. If you were us and you took a look back in at it, you wouldn't be suspect of what you saw? If I'm wrong then I'll apologize but time will tell.

He just committed to osu.
I really think the canes should have offered him, he is the best pass rushing de in south Florida.

theyll regret it.....

Just as good as Brian Burns an all acc type guy last year.

Again...Im wayyy high on Chatfield than the Rousseau kid..

Lol why would the staff regret it if we already have stud des on the roster?? And Brian Burns ain't doing **** in comparison to who we have, nobody's losing sleep over Chatfield committing to OSU.

I personally like Chatfield. I've expressed this to all of ya'll. I want Chatfield...not b/c of T.C, but b/c I really like him.

My hoodie's been off for a minute; I'm going throw a couple of names out:

Richards
Bandy
Thomas
Harley
Finley

Highly ranked guys who either decommited, were commited to other schools, or we offered late in the game.

Wait til Paradise camp. Wait til the season. Wait til all these coaches and media outlets go from hating on us to sucking us off. Then, then you'll see kids having their eyes wide open. Right now, they all still got crust in their eyes.

If anyone was under the impression recruiting in South FL had all of a sudden changed, or become easier, let that be put to rest as it should have been all along.

I wonder how much of this is a move to get Surtain/Campbell/Silvera as a package deal??? It's not like any of them are bad. My only question is whether Taron Vincent's presence would push Silvera away.

Why would it there are 2 dts on the field at the same time. Plus chatfield is a good player in his own right too

Chatfield won't see the field for them unless he's willing go sit until his junior year.

Might be true they have recruited well but you still take kids like that. Chatfield ain't a scrub

LOL at this dopey UM fan phenomenon that UM needs to offer everyone to get the one guy we really want. That applies to no one else but applies hard to UM according to the CIS quiffs. Why does Campbell have to follow Chatfield to Meth Land? Why can't he follow Nesta and all the other local beasts down the street to UM?

What? Burns had 9.5 sacks as a true freshman last year..

There's nothing in my posting history to be suspect about. I started one thread the other night indicating that it seems like our momentum has dissipated. That's not trolling. It was a simple observation that I was looking for people's opinions on. And, when I say "momentum" I wasn't referring to receiving new commits. Simply that things seem to have slowed down noticeably and a few commits that seemed rock solid don't necessarily seem that way.

For the record, I don't think we lose any commits to UF, and I can't think of any that are giving FSU a thought right now. Alabama is my concern for guys like Jobe, Pope, and Hall. tOSU is my concern for Silvera and Campbell. The rest of the guys seem pretty darn rock solid.

Most of these idiots don't watch games outside of Miami games.

Well that's a positive. Maybe we have a better shot at Parsons than we thought. Hope he's at Paradise Camp.

Why is that a positive for Miami? Do you guys think Miami isn't a "top school?"

I get where you're going with that, but I think they are focusing more on the "coach who's going to develop you" portion of the quote. And yes, I understand that Coach Kool isn't the only coach who can develop Dlinemen at a high level.

Still don't think we get Parsons though.

:noidea:

This reeks of vintage Urban. Wants Campbell really bad but knows it's and uphill battle so he works this angle. Let's see if Chatfield actually signs with them. A rack that if Campbell commits elsewhere, Urban and co go in a different direction with Chatfield.

UiF is not a more attractive option. They're a joke like we were under Golden. The threats you named for the players you named are definitely ones I agree with concerning who to watch out for. I don't think that Nesta and Tyson make a decision purely on Chatfield but it was a good move by O$U if they are trying to get these AH guys.

I think given the last decade or more, a number of recruits probably see Bama, O$U, F$U and now Clemson as the top schools. It seems like that's what he's referring to. We'll get there starting with winning the Coastal this year and then, I'm certain, beating F$U and winning the ACC the following year.

.....so a kid who's family is on this very board and says we have a tremendous lead is going to commit to OSU?

Makes sense

I'm gonna drop cuz a text or call him later on this evening to get some real insight on how much he likes Taint. As far as Drew goes, I've stated my opinion on here many times. When he wins the DL MVP at Paradise(He will, book it), I'm thinking Kool can't help but offer him then. Height and timed runs be damned, that kid has arguably the best pass-rushing skills in America. Kid can come in freshman year and get 10 sacks as a specialist in a "NASCAR" package and going in while JJ, DJ, or Garvin take breathers. He has long arms, which offset the couple of inches he lacks vertically and although he's 15-20 lbs. lighter than the template, he sets a **** of an edge in the run game. On the field, camp settings, kid just dominates whoever lines up across from him. He's not feasting on bums either. AH is a national powerhouse that plays top-flight teams from across the region, state and nation. And all the guy does is kick major ***. Porsters love to talk how the production won't transfer over to college. But riddle me this, if the majority of the guys he's smoking out there are FBS prospects themselves, what does that tell you??? ****, in practice alone he's been going against top P5 prospects(including one that we all hope to be a great one)since his freshman year(made varsity before cuz, Pat and the rest)and doing em dirty the whole time. I've seen Drew embarass TJ and Kai on numerous occasions. Right now at least 4 of AH's o-line is going FBS. They can't do anything with him... Sign the kid up gotdammitt!!!!
