He coached for Texas and under Urban Meyer and Spurrier. Even Rumph could have looked like an Ace recruiter in those scenarios. I am not saying he can't recruit, I am just asking if he was known as a good recruiter.

Simply look at the Defensive classes UF pulled from 2003 to 2009, tie it to the position he was responsible for (DL) along with being the DC… and badda bing, there’s your answer

He won a national championship as a DC/LB coach.

Its not a straw man its a realistic point. We have seen it time and time again. I would have liked to know how he was recruiting at South Carolina.
