Changes to the football board (8-13-12)

...Last, we will be creating a Gameday board. From kickoff to an hour after the game, the football board will be frozen and all posts will be on the Gameday board. This board won't have the same rules as the football board and will give people a chance to vent and kneejerk and fire Golden. An hour after kickoff, we'll move some of the threads over to the football board and start again...

It's tough, but I think this paragraph contains the best development. Gameday threads can get like five pages per minute, and most of their posts are personnel change suggestions for Golden/Eichorst/Shalala/BoT.

Premium level of decorum goes beyond the interaction among posters...I love the idea of this site being about grown folks football talk...leave the high school level talk to the other forums, they are free to go to, also.

Dmoney putting in work. Gotta love it when some positive initiative is being taken ... props.

D$,
Just a quick note. I use both desktop and phone regularly to access the forums. I use the TapaTalk app on my phone. I noticed the sticky threads don't show on the phone. I don't have a solutions on this ... but want you to know. There may be many users that are mobile and may not see the new changes thread because it is sticky.

Are there three boxes at the top of your screen labeled Topics, Sticky and Announcements? The Sticked Threads should be accessible on TapaTalk, you just need to click the sticky box at the top.

One question D$:

- Will the 10 post rule have an affect on posters simply wanting to acknowledge somebody having a good thread???

Like if somebody just wants to say +1, I agree, or good job.... how will that coincide with the 10 posts rule??

Also when does all this kick in????

That will count as a post. The best way to complement someone's thread is to hit the star at the bottom of the post (the rep button). That way, you acknowledge their post without having to clutter up the thread. We want you to use your posts to talk football and make them as meaningful and informative as they can be.

I would drop the 10 post a day rule. Really no need in having it. I don't think punishing new poster who have a clean slate...Just my opinion

That's great news from my standpoint. Those who do thinks the right way will never be affected by any of these changes to begin with so Im all for it. I read 3 times more than I ever post so my post numbers will always be lower.

Good stuff, D. You tell'em D$'s coming' and ****'s comin' with him! You hear me? ****'s comin' with him!
