Chance Robinson commits to Miami

There shouldn’t be a lot of audibles in the Air Raid.

If Dawson is going to take the next step, he needs to prove that his system is idiot proof, because he’s not asking the QB to do much.

If TVD struggles, I’m going to be more worried about what that means for us under Dawson, than I will what it means about TVD. If he can’t make it work with TVD, I guy we saw have a ton of success in an Air Raid passing scheme, he isn’t going to be able to make it work with anybody.

Do they not option off of defenders in the air raid? Legit curious as I don't know enough about Holgerson's concepts. I actually hope TVD is mature enough to make adjustments when needed. But maybe the play calling is flexible enough that he doesn't need to audible?

Where does this notion that audibles aren’t part of the air raid system come from?

I don’t claim to be an expert, but I’ve watched enough football to see audibles being called a significant number of times in an air raid offense. Including frequent audibles into running plays as well.

look outside of canes fans, no one knows who the **** emory is and no one is coming down to play w him or the current qb commit. get an elite QB commit, you'll get elite kids wanting to play w him
I blame Riola, he messed it all up. Us, staining, and Uga would of all gotten our own.

But no, just had to leave taint so they’d get Air, and make UGA richer

I’m only half-serious

I’ve posted multiple times it’s sink or swim time for Tvd. This is the biggest year of his life in regards to football being a career. He controls everything from having a hand in the offense , full control of sliding protections , audibles right down to the narrative. No excuses.

@Peter Ariz

What’s the word from the scouts on TVD? I can’t imagine he helped himself last year with the lack of anticipation and reading the field.

Bottom line is this recruitment was always going to be a battle due to the offensive output last year. Mario has done all he possibly can with going away from his comfort zone and doing what’s best for his recruiting territory and opting for the Air Raid offense.

This recruitment will boil down to how our offense looks on the field, as well as if we can win a decent amount of games.

By mid October, my guess is that we’ll be in a really good spot with WR recruits.

I‘d scrap everything off last year. It never happened lol. I’d judge TVD more on the previous year when he had a better schematic fit and actual time to pass. Last season was the perfect **** storm .

Cribby / @DMoney how hands-on is Mario with the gameday prep / practices?

He strikes me as a great CEO. Establish the standards for your staff and players. Work with the boosters, promote the program, and hold people accountable.

Stay the **** out of the X’s and O’s and just trust you hired the right guys.

Do you see him the same. Is that accurate? And does he lead the program that way?

Thought he was an elite 11 kid?
he was in the elite 11 camp. i would not call him an elite qb recruit (again a lot of this comes down to hype where in fact stars do matter if you want elite skill talent to come and play with elite qb talent). kids didnt line up to play with emory last year. we need to improve our QB recruiting and that will help w the skill talent imo along with a real offense

His own high 4 star WR HS teammate chose to go to ATM over following him here. I know our offense was abysmal but it was just as bad at *** to Mouth

A friend that is a scout for the Saints said he had him in a 3rd-4th round ballpark if he declared for this past draft and then after the draft said he would have been their selection over Haener, who they took as QB5 in the 4th round.

TVD gets a lot more flack tan he deserves for last years performance. I think they're also pretty aware of what the deal was with Gattis, the system, the receivers he had, and that offensive line.

He's in a true make or break year. He could play himself into the 1st or he could play himself into 6-7 round/UDFA territory if he puts up another 2022 type year. Dawson just had a 5th rounder with less arm talent. Can't blame the OC, the system, the WRs, or the OL this year. He is what he is in 2023.

TVD won't be around tho throw to him anyways if that's true. So, that's irrelevant

I think the idea is that TVD will show what Dawson can do with QBs/WRs so we recover from the bad reputation and negative recruiting caused by Gattass.... We still need a QB1 to emerge next year and thereafter to be confident we can land top receivers.

It's somewhat a race against time. Will WRs wait to mid-October, or be open to flipping? Also, we still need to show there's a future QB in the succession plan. That may need to come AFTER the season when we go portal hunting unless Brown, Williams or Anderson make giant strides that are evident to WR recruits. The WR position is the trickiest of all to recruit at the moment IMO.

Run a lot of plays, throw the ball, move the ball and score a lot and UM will get a lot of kids' attention. You have to give kids a reason to believe that staying home will be beneficial to them (as in helping them become day 1 or day 2 picks). If you can't do that, you will continue to lose top kids to schools that actually do the things I listed at the beginning of this post.

Tvd takes heat because a lot on cis crowned Garcia before Garcia ever took a snap in a game
