Told you guys years ago that this defense will never work down here. So far I've been right. Let's see if I'm eventually proven wrong.

The Grace situation is one of the reasons i pointed to. Majority of the stud athletes we recruit down here will take a couple years to contribute. Grace, Thomas, Smith, Moten, etc...are all guys who could contribute sooner if we were running something that catered to South Florida high school players.

There is no reason why Skai Moore can play at South Carolina as freshman (in the SEC) but Grace can't get on the field for us.
 
Secondary is the only position on defense that is loaded and being coached up correctly.. Paul Williams is a good coach.

the goal was to redshirt grace. if it wasn't for ncaa Skai would have had that offer but grace and 6 were considered the best. if we got 6 no one would have cared. they were handcuffed and took a shot.

We chose to self-impose. We over-imposed and the NCAA still isn't cutting us slack on the scholarship limits.

If the goal for Grace was to redshirt he would've. He got no meaningful snaps on defense until the very last game of the season. His special teams snaps could've been given to someone else.

You are undervaluing special teams play. A common mistake for fans, but he was an important player on special teams most of the year.

McCord and AQM at 250 at 4-3 DE would also be a problem for defenses.

We are currently built for a 4-3. We have way too much talent in McCord and AQM to not have them on the field more. Plus we dont have the NT position really figured and our LBs are just better suited for the 4-3.

jermaine grace taking cornelius spot tells me coach D is going to force me to say "awww man" everytime i see poor jermaine chasing a scat slot receiver.

Would love to see our DB's compete and fight to get in rotation... Deep w/ guys I wanna see on the field:

Howard, Gunter, Burns, A.Crawford, Elder - Bush, Jenkins, Carter, D.Crawford, Hope + Hester, if ready.

I would like for TH3 and AB1 on the islands, with JC and DB2 manning the safeties. However, if Hester is blowing folks out at S, then I wouldn't mind seeing him either. Plain and simple we need the best mentally tough athletes on the field. We need a no-fly zone in the secondary and a no landing zone w/ our LBs...I think those 5 yrd passes that turned into 20 yrd gains hurt us the most.

Coley injured = we ****ed
Duke injured = we super ****ed
Flowers injured = we ****ed
Perryman injured = we super ****ed...
