Watch, someone will ask him about those comments and he'll laugh and answer that people are overreacting and that he was only talking about leaving town for the weekend on a recruiting trip. These kid's know people are watching their every action and word and a lot of them enjoy causing a stir with cryptic tweets like these..
He's probably implying that he's going to Disney world

Told you all this last year. He was saying the same thing months ago. This is not new. He was NEVER coming here. When the Matt Thomas thing went down he was tweeting comments about how not everyone here lives in the "Good Miami" and that many guys want to get out and go somewhere else. It was clear he was including himself in that.

I never counted on this kid. This should surprise no one.

Remember when there was a sense of pride in rep'n your hometown? Wow, those days seem long ago.

Does this stuff happen around the country as much as it does down here?

First of all I think people might be reading way too much into those tweets. That being said some of these kids just want to get away from the stuff they are dealing with on a everyday basis. While fans are thinking about football these kids are thinking about life. You might say well "they are going to be on campus and not around what they were dealing with". Those friends and family are still just a phone call and short drive away. Not a lot of big cities have major college football.

Next, I hope the coaches don't waste a lot of time going after him. He wants to be here great, if not don't waste anymore time on him. We start winning, others from all over the country will want to come to Miami where the sun shines and the beaches are great.

The worst thing is the utter hypocrisy that will be on display when these kids do leave Miami to play college ball. They will throw up the "305" and talk about how they're Miami boys, all while donning some other team's colors in hick town. Then, if they are good enough, they will have a career in the NFL and make Miami their home again

seems like the trend

I think it's as simple as that. The get out of Miami thing has been a fact of life in the general population for decades and many life long Miamians in fact left. I left kicking and screaming but the family prevailed. It's more of an Overtown BKW thing now with intercity kids. Many love Miami like Bush, Duke and Howard but you can bet opposing coaches have a new thing to attack. We need to be a reason for them to think differently and that means win.

I live in Baltimore which is the hot bed for lacrosse. Johns Hopkins should have the pick of every high school kid each year, but they don't because kids want to see something new. Same with Miami. It would be great to keep all of the studs, but sometimes these kids want to see something different. With that said, I wish CT luck wherever he goes.

i have heard this a lot with kids down here, yea they have pride for their hometown but there is a lot of crap that goes on down here, coaches telling them this and that, people making decisions for them that they dont want, a lot of these kids just want a fresh start in a new city, i cant be mad a kid for that, but the majority of the kids who do that end up regretting doing it, at least this kid is saying it and not keeping it to himself like others that we will not name

The scumbag adults are the problem. You can't be raised around dip****s like these genron types and all of the coaching divas like the BTW moron "director of football operations" or wtf he was calling himself and Luke and come out level-headed like a Duke or Deon Bush unless you have awesome parents or are somehow gifted with natural character. I have no idea why the school admins or the general population put up with the kind of things that happen in the public we hear about on the board, and there's no telling what goes on DAILY that we don't know about.

What's so cryptic here?

- "Tired of Miami"...............Is he talking about being tired of living in Miami period or is tired of the monotony of not seeing anything else besides Miami and wanting to experience something new for a change, if only for a short time?

- "Can't wait to get away".................Is he saying that he can't wait to get out and live someplace other than Miami or is he saying that he is excited about a planned vacation or upcoming recruiting trip?

- "My days in Miami limited".................Is he saying that he is definitely leaving Miami for college or is he saying that he only has a few days until he leaves town for
a vacation or recruiting trip?

If you're saying that you or anyone else should know for certain what those tweets mean then I guess, by definition, they cannot be considered obscure or cryptic.

However, if you'll concede that, as constructed, those comments can have more than one meaning and therefore leave themselves open to interpretation (perhaps by design), then I don't think it's a stretch to categorize them as "cryptic" ?

It's the good ole "wanting to get away from bad influences" excuse, plenty of kids have used it, nothing new
