Doing only what you're required will only take some people so far, that's my point. Chad obviously has the talent to compartmentalize and do well at both.
There are plenty of athletes who only do what's required and don't reach their full potential. Dwight Howard is the best example i can think of. Or what if Shaq was 30lbs lighter for the 2nd half of his career?
On the opposite side of the spectrum you could also say reference the Allen Iverson incident"practice? we talking about practice man".
There are reasons NFL contracts have offseason practice bonuses and weight bonuses. They need their athletes to do more than what's required to compete at the HIGHEST LEVEL.
SMH...10 hours of football is a **** ton of football every day and probably more than pro players put in. Do you understand how many hours 10 HOURS is? No one requires 10 hours. You can't take one word out of context and build to that dumb argument. I can't continue this with you.

Nothing is taken out of context. If you're saying he has 10 hours (a made up #) dedicated to football and 6 hours of free time all i'm saying is that some other athletes will choose to fill that free time with more football or athletic related activities instead of music. Why is that hard to understand? Why are you so deadset in saying that 10 hours is the absolute maximum potential reached?
You could google 100 sean taylor articles about how he worked out harder and longer than anyone else.
"That was the way Sean [Taylor] did it, too," Chris Cooley told me. "Sean always had a crazy workout schedule where he stayed late and worked out. He'd be up riding his bike and [working out] in the middle of the night."
or....heres another example
A few days later Kobe called him at 4:15 a.m., and asked him to come to the gym. They worked out for 75 minutes, and the trainer went back to his hotel to sleep before the next day's 11 a.m. scrimmage.
That's when things got crazy, from the trainer:
"This next part I remember very vividly. All the Team USA players were there, feeling good for the first scrimmage. LeBron was talking to Carmelo if I remember correctly and Coach Krzyzewski was trying to explain something to Kevin Durant. On the right side of the practice facility was Kobe by himself shooting jumpers. And this is how our next conversation went -- I went over to him, patted him on the back and said, 'Good work this morning.'"
'Huh?'
'Like, the conditioning. Good work.'
'Oh. Yeah, thanks Rob. I really appreciate it.'
'So when did you finish?'
'Finish what?'
'Getting your shots up. What time did you leave the facility?'
'Oh just now. I wanted 800 makes so yeah, just now.'
