PSU would have been a good matchup for us. They have a great defense but our offense would put up points. Problem may have been a Georgia Tech like ball control dominant run game but would have loved to see us get a shot at them for old times sake

What gets me is that neither SMU nor Penn State have the kind of talent Miami does.

Penn State especially has no explosive players, and they just look slow out there.

I think so. No need to mention the D, it is what it is, but our offense—specifically our QB—would make it a game against most anyone I think. We’d keep the pressure on at a minimum.

The time to make the switch was after the second INT, or at least when they got the ball at PSU's 20. If PSU scores here their pass rush going to get even better as SMU has to abandon the run game. Tough place to put in a far less mobile QB.
