this was definitely part of the conversationsNIU just lost to Ball State. The same Ball State we beat by 62. Notre Dame should be automatically disqualified.
It's interesting. I listened to Josh Pate tonight too. Both he and those discussing the playoff seeding are saying not to discount LSU...The SEC love is predictable but gross. Georgia is the only team that looks legit, The rest look a lot like ACC teams.
I don’t think LSU is eliminated yet…but they will be if they lose at all the rest of the wayIt's interesting. I listened to Josh Pate tonight too. Both he and those discussing the playoff seeding are saying not to discount LSU...
We gotta remember they’re doing this for ratings so they are going try they’re hardest to but Notre Dame in for the numbers. I wouldn’t be surprised if we lost in the ACC championship they find a way to put us inYeah, they’re trying to say that the Domers had such a dominant victory against Navy, which is asinine. Navy’s QB had a thumb injury on his throwing hand and was having a difficult time just catching a snap. He fumbled multiple times and couldn’t pitch the ball correctly. But, of course, ESECPN left that part out.
What a bummer. That d is good enough to ruin the b12 final stretch but no chance w.o. him. Feel for him tooHe came back like 2 weeks ago against Arizona State and looked like ****. Hurt himself back and is now out for the year. Careers probably over except if he gets a medical shirt.
I still think Clemson is a better team than Louisville, VT, and Pitt. Whether they win them all remains to be seen, but I’d bet on Clemson to win all 3. If they lose one imo it’ll be A Pitt. Not so fast my friend.
Louisville, VT, Pitt. I’m not convinced they win all 3 of those. If they do, they deserve a spot in Charlotte.
But they have genuinely played 1 difficult game all season, and they got drubbed.
App State — 3-4
NC State — 4-4
Stanford — 2-6
FSU — 1-7
Wake — 4-4
UVA — 4-4
That’s brutal. ESPN doesn’t have a single team they’ve played in the Top 40 FPI. Only UGA, and they got squashed like a bug.
They also have no more bye-weeks. So it would be paramount for them to not have any injuries and stay healthy. It’s absolutely awful. And I’m not trying to be “they ain’t played nobody PAWLLLLLL” guy. Truly. But that is a brutal schedule. Even the teams they’ve beaten who are .500 are AWFUL. NC Taint’s 4 wins are western Carolina, Louisiana tech, northern Illinois, and Cal by in a game they were outplayed in (they missed a 28 yard FG with under 2 mins left LOL).
UVA’s wins are Richmond, Wake by 1 in a game they were losing 30-17 in the 4th quarter, coastal Carolina and Boston College.
Wake’s wins are North Carolina A&T, NC State, UConn by 3 and Stanford by 3.
These are abysmally average/below average teams. I mean every single one. UF, Cal, VT, and Louisville are all better than anyone Clemson has beaten. Easily.
The next 3 tell their story:
Home vs Louisville this week
At Lane next week for VT
At Pitt the next week
They win all 3 of those, I’ll say they’re the 2nd best team in the ACC. Not right now after the obscene collection of losers they’ve beaten.
