They should definitely get rid of the ejection that carries over to the next game for 2nd half targeting. Cost ASU their best DB for first half when they gave up long passes. Just ridiculous
Targeting was never needed because the rules already stated you can't hit with your head or hit others in the head. than to eject kids. stupid

See what you hit, hit what you see. I like the no -call. Defender's head was up.
2 players approx. the same height collide in a bang-bang play. Would love to see Target-lovers strap on a helmet and get an understanding for the speed of the game and the inevitability of contact when wearing a piece of equipment extending from the top and sides of your head.

Targeting is forcible contact (by helmet, elbow, shoulder, arm, etc) to the head or neck of a defenseless player.

That was a helmet to helmet hit on a defenseless player.

You might not like the rule, but that is targeting by rule.

And that rule would 1000% have been enforced if the colors were switched.

The earlier hit on the UT WR was not targeting because it was the chest of the defender that contacted the UT receiver’s helmet.

Yup. Just throw the 15 yard flag. Eject guys on the spot when it's really egregious like they do in the NFL. Stupid for it to carry over the next game because of which half the foul happened in.

They need the NFL quick receivers in college. These reviews they do are ridiculous.
