A lot of OCs dont coach to throw over the middle often. Even if the routes are there. Its why you see more checkdowns toward the sideline as well.

The risk of a drop or batted ball turning into a turnover is very high. Especially for QBs who miss high often or have rocket arms.

Texas CB’s are a lot more speedy & play well in off coverage.

Best QBs in the draft are Maye and Daniels. Penix is a solid backup, The two you mentioned aren't NFL Qbs. Maybe Nix survives as a #3 or P-squad guy.
